Products TP-3090-0601 Gas Engine Oil dye, 1 Pack

I had a oil leak on my Lexus ES300 and I used this dye to find the problem. it works very well but, I didn't use the date/mileage warring sticker to remind you of dye have been used and when I did my oil change, all the engine oil was antifreeze green. I thought I blew head gaskets and did my head gaskets because I didn't remember using the dye. Funny but time consuming work and expenses.

had on oil leak in 2007 honda accord 2.4 could not see it bought this and uv light separate did not buy the uv glasses, found leak in oil pan, that was the easy part sub frame needed to be dropped to replace it. great product and works as advertised.

Product worked great. Unfortunately I've discovered I have to replace the front oil seal on my engine. I added a full bottle (1 oz) to a 3.4 Toyota Engine. Ran the motor for 5 minutes and used a blacklight and UV glasses to take a look. I could tell that the oil was leaking out around the front pulley, running down the front of the oil pan, and then dripping off the drain plug.

I used this item to find an oil leak in an engine. I poured 1 bottle in and I was able to find, fix and monitor the oil leak for a few days. When I added this dye in my oil was new so the dye stood out. Maybe a week or so after I added the dye it stopped showing up under the uv light. So you may have to use more if your oil is dirty. That’s why it’s not 5 stars. I used 2 different types of uv lights a 10w 365 and a 10w 395. They both illuminated the dye the same amount. The only difference was that the 365 works better when working on the car in the garage. The 395 was bright enough that I could work on the car in the driveway on a sunny day. Make sure you buy a true uv led light and not a regular flashlight with a filter. I highly recommend that at a minimum a 6w power output and a single led. Those multi-leds doesn’t work.

Perfect size portion bottles. Really bright when using a UV light and even bright without it. Easy to use, just pour it in and run the engine for a few minutes so it mixes. Good price.
