Quality is fine, but very disappointed to find the actual page layout is different than what’s shown in Amazon’s photos. The notebook delivered doesn’t have fields for Title, Project # or Book #, despite being shown in the listing’s photos and being pretty essential to a Lab book.

Sturdy! Book also stays flat on any page when open. It's got a nice professional look just like in the pictures. There is a line in the table of contents for every single page in the book so there is no need to worry about running out of space in the table of contents by the time you reach the end of the book. The only real drawback for anyone who wants to use the professional legal features is that it's only got one line for witness signature instead of two, so serious inventor type users in the US will need to add another witness signature line on every page. Unlike some of the other lab notebooks out there, the lines on the page are soft enough to easily read whatever is written on top of them.A typical Sharpie pen will show through on the other side of a page, but regular pens will not show at all.

- Current Thoughts -- Feels nice and has good weight. Cover is aesthetically pleasing.- General Opinion -- Happy with the product at first. Not too pleased that the cover bent (see Usage Issues), considering I could spent $3 and get a Composition Notebook and not face the same issue.- Design Notes -- (see Usage Issues) Use a more dense material for the cover so it doesn't warp. I feel like the material used isn't right for a laboratory notebook if can't endure an easy backpack trip without warping.- Usage -- Purchased for a Chemistry lab class, ended up not using it yet (dropped class).- Usage Issues -- The cover started to warp in my backpack. I live in a hot and humid area, so maybe that's why, but after 2-3 trips in a backpack with a couple items, the cover rounded to the shape of my back. Other items in the backpack were a small plastic spiral-bound laboratory textbook (maybe 100 pages at most), a light jacket, and a small purse. There wasn't much weight against it, and my bag was dry the whole time.

I'm a physics grad student and I love this lab notebook. It's hardcover, yet the book will actually stay open FLAT without a bookweight, unlike other notebooks I've tried. In addition, the pages are gridded, rather than ruled: another plus for me. The first four pages are designated as a table of contents, which helps with organization. The printing of the pages, including the page numbers, is strong and bold. The book itself seems high quality, with strong binding and perfect paper weight (not too thin, not unnecessarily thick).The only potential negative I can see is that the book only has 92 pages for lab notes, rather than a couple hundred like some other lab notebooks. However, it's not enough of a nuisance for me to take away any Amazon stars. In fact, I'm planning on purchasing a few more of these notebooks just to make sure I always have a new one on hand when it's needed.

Was kind of skeptical at the price to value ratio for this book. 100% worth every penny. This book is built solid and every page is quality too. Also made in the USA.
