Great waterproof battery
This battery is required in my pool alarm, I needed a 9 volt waterproof battery and this fit. I used this before and got a year out of the last one. Great price.

Do not buy
This thing lasted three months. That is not a long lasting battery. It is way too expensive for what it is, which is just a regular battery.

But how do we source 1.21 gigawatts, Doc? Marty, we use a Lithium 1200mAh 9V Battery!
I have been slowly replacing my standard alkaline 9V batteries with higher capacity 9V batteries for my smoke detectors, motion lights, and laser targets. I needed another battery and decided to try this one because of the high mAh rating and slower discharge rate. Make sure you are aware that this is NOT a rechargeable battery.I was surprised by how lightweight this battery is. It is nearly one third less weight than my standard alkaline batteries at only 1-ounce. The dimensional size is also just a hair bigger both in width and height, but it was not enough of an issue when installing it in a motion activated light that has very tight tolerances.Despite the lightweight, this battery holds its charge for a far longer time than my standard equivalents, with six times the capacity having a 1200mAh (10800mWh) capacity. I am very pleased with the performance of this battery and will continue to use them in my motion activated lights and smoke detectors.Although significantly more expensive than a standard alkaline battery, it is because of how much longer this will last, both before use when stored, and when in use in an electronic device, so I consider this a decent value, if maybe a hair on the pricey side.

Look Ma, No Corrosion [FIVE STARS]
Sold by the “Lifebuoy Make Your Pool Safer” store, this is a 1200 mAh 9-volt lithium battery. Obviously branded and sold for use with their pool safety products, this battery is equally usable in just about any piece of electronic gear requiring a standard 9-volt battery. As useful as they are, common alkaline batteries suffer from two undesirable characteristics. First, they readily go bad just sitting on the shelf—I can’t recount how many times I’ve reached for a “new” battery from my storage container, only to discover it was already dead. Second, failing alkaline batteries tend to leak electrolyte. At best, this corrodes the spring terminals in the battery compartment; at worst, the leakage can destroy the instrument, radio, or toy itself. In contrast, lithium batteries like this one have a higher energy density, a longer shelf life, and are much less inclined to damage or destroy their host through leakage.

seems like it will last a long time
this is a basic 9v battery, it works about the same as any other 9v battery you may have had. One strange thing about it, though, is that when i measured it with my multimeter, it read 11v! i havent measured any other 9v batteries, but i am pretty sure 11v is not normal. for this reason i think it may last longer than other 9v batteries. but i am certainly no expert.the only thing that iu would improve with it is that it doesnt have the + and - sign labeled, and i couldn't remember which was which, so i had to look it up, which was a minor annoyance.

Also good for general 9V battery uses
While this 9V Lithium battery is marketed for the Lifebouy pool alarm, it will work for most any device that uses 9V batteries. While not cheap, a 1200mAh Lithium battery lasts a LONG time compared to alkalines. I prefer Lithiums for many uses, including the common smoke detector use. I also have a collection of electronics test instruments that take 9V batteries, and I prefer Lithium both for long shelf and working life, with a voltage similar to alkaline compared to the lower voltage that NiMH delivers. But more importantly, no leakage. I've had a number of 9V alkalines leak (included while still in the package) and I don't want to find my $500 multimeter ruined by a leaky battery. This battery ships shrinkwrapped with a protective cap over the terminals, which is a nice touch.

Very convenient
This 9v rechargeable battery is awesome. I'm using it for my multimeter. Can also be used in smoke alarms. A good value.
