Beats all the Others
I like ice cream a lot and I’m lazy. I bought a Cuisanart (ice100?) ice cream maker and had been looking for the perfect vanilla. I actually wanted to see how close to Dairy Queen I could get.I tried Double Scoop mix, and it was good, butvery expensive. Had never heard of Junket. This stuff is the best tasting ice cream mix there is - hands down, and it is lower cost than most of the others. It is extremeLu smooth and has fresh vanilla taste. I have tried a lot of different mixes and recipes, but this is the easiest, low cost route.Incidentally, I did get extremely close to DQ soft serve taste. I modified the recipe on the Junket box, adding 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream, and used 1/4 less milk. Let the cuisinart churn until it could barely move any more, and I got the richest, creamiest ice cream that I have ever tasted. I’m 54, and have tasted a lot of ice cream in my life. This is the best out there.

Reminds me of childhood
My grandmother used to make me the regular junket (i.e. it was like instant pudding) and this is as close as I was able to find (the ice cream version). But the taste is the same and even though making the ice cream is a bit more involved than just add milk and chill, it's totally worth the effort.

A true Classic Homemade Taste!
I like this product because it has been around for a long time and has not lost its taste! Not only is it delicious, but it is extremely easy to make. It was a real hit when we had it at a picnic on Memorial Day! It is the best!

Easy Way To Concoct Great Ice Cream!
I've been using Junket for several years and it always produced great ice cream. I started with a five-quart ice cream maker that actually uses ice but after one summer I switched to a one-quart model that uses a canister frozen in the refrigerator. I've used Junket to make regular vanilla, coffee, raspberry, lemon-ginger, orange-pineapple, basil, chocolate chip and peach ice creams. I use half-and-half for the dairy element. I learned that two tablespoons of liquor keep the ice cream from freezing too hard. Most cooks have recommended using vodka because it doesn't affect the flavor of the ice cream, but I wanted to amplify the various flavors of the ice creams. For example, I used Kahlua for coffee ice cream and Chambord for raspberry. I'm gonna try Bailey's Chocolate Liqueur when I make chocolate. (I haven't worked with Junket Chocolate or Junket Strawberry yet.) Anyhow, try it; you'll like it!

Awesome flavor. Way better than the stuff that is 2 or 3 dollars a pint in the grocery store.
This is great. If you want to buy an ice cream maker and make your own this is a great flavor.

This product is way over priced found out I can get it at local grocery store for less than half the price they charge on Amazon.
