Pleasantly Surprised
For context, I occasionally have horrible carpal tunnel flareups. Most of the braces and compression wraps I've had are uncomfortable, but necessary in the terms of their support. All of them are incredibly ugly and usually restrict my range of motion for my entire hand. This one, though, is the opposite of all of that. For one, the material is super comfortable and soft, and also breathable. It wraps around my hand in three ways - my wrist, the bottom of my palm, and then my thumb. This makes the brace constantly and easily adjustable, but doesn't fall out of place. I have support without being constantly reminded of it because material is chafing. It also fits really well even while I chose kind of an ambiguous size without measuring (yeah, I know, I know, but measuring with one hand is harder than it sounds). The support is super solid for my thumb and rest of my hand, including my wrist. I don't know what is under the material as the splint for my thumb, but it's really strong but super light. If you look at the picture you'll see what I mean. It's also super easy to put on with one hand once you figure out the direction of the straps. This is better than any of the three braces that I got that cost me $120, which is phenomenal. It came super quickly, and my condition has improved rapidly in the last three days. I haven't had a chance to clean it but it looks very easy. There is also a booklet that talks about all of the various conditions that someone could have if they need this kind of support. There are stretch instructions included to help you improve the strength of your hand and reduce the possibility of conditions getting worse. Also, it isn't ugly. It's pink, my favorite color, and the design doesn't make my arm look like a stump. Which is kind of nice, because I don't like going into the office while looking like I have a cast on.Highly recommended. One of the best purchases that I've made.

10 Stars !
I am very pleased with this selection. I was experiencing pain from a trigger finger prior to wearing this finger splint.Although in my case, the trigger finger still needs a tweaking, the overnight "pain" is not present. The splint is comfortable to wear and a good fit and support. There is adequate room to adjust for finger size. The handbook enclosed is very comprehensive and informative. A good value.

Very well-made, breathable, supportive product that arrived fast
I purchased two of these Dr. Arthritis thumb braces in pink. They can be used on either hand which is nice. I planned on wearing them on both hands at night. The left hand that suffers from trigger thumb from using apush lawn mower is benefiting from it, great for thumb immobility overnight so that thumb is not all locked up in the morning like before. However, My right hand suffers from Dequervains Wrist Tenosynovitis. I have carpal cysts and Dequervains nodules on that wrist above my thumb (from a lifetime of working with my hands and using scissors everyday), exactly where the splints sit. The splints press on them, causing pain. So regretfully I am returning one of the braces. Even though the splints have Velcro covers over the sleeve pockets (unlike other braces), they still tend to dig into my wrists. The wrist-end of the brace moves around a lot, even when it is cinched down as tight as I can stand it. It would be great to have a long version of this brace for both wrist and thumb stability. A little more padding would be wonderful if it did not cut down on breathability. One really nice feature is that my hand does not sweat or overheat as it does with my black Futuro brace. The workmanship is beautiful and incredibly meticulous. As a sewist myself, I can totally appreciate the intricate detail and design, the high quality materials, the soft, breathable fabric choices, and no loose threads (like on my Futuro brace). The materials are very soft and comfortable. The pink colors of all the various parts are a bit different but in an attractive way. I absolutely love the pink color -- great to have a fun color choice rather than drab black, grey or flesh, something that coordinates a little more with my wardrobe. :~>I love the middle cinch that tightens back on itself for an exacting tightness. I attach that one first in order to keep the brace in position while tightening the thumb and wrist tabs. I can still move the tip of my thumb, but am able to minimize this by adjusting the thumb tab higher. So there is room for customizing the fit if you want to be able to use your thumb. I am typing this review with the brace on and it doesn't slow me down too much.Although the fabrics in this brace are soft, breathable and wonderful, I wish there was even more padding in certain places, such as at the wrist where the splint ends and edging bother the sensitive inner forearm area. The brace comes with a handbook on arthritis which has been very helpful, and was one contributor to my decision to order Dr. Arthritis braces after doing extensive research. I definitely recommend this and hope that Dr. Arthritis will develop a longer thumb and wrist version soon!

Immobilizes both joints of finger. Easy to use.
I’ve worn it two days and two nights. Immobilizes both joints, but doesn’t cover finger tip, so there’s some dexterity for pushing buttons, etc.. Minimal flex. Easy to use. I take it off several times per day when washing my hands, and put it back, no problem. Light weight but strong. I snipped off the annoying tag, it was rubbing against an adjacent finger. I actually don’t notice I’m wearing the splint until I try to grab something. It stays on the finger through the night, doesn’t slip off or slide around. Because the finger tip is exposed, I’m able to do some typing with it on, mostly because I forget it’s there.
