She Thinks Like a Boss : Leadership: 9 Essential Skills for New Female Leaders in Business and the Workplace. How to Influence Teams Effectively and Combat Imposter Syndrome : Roedel, Jemma: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Must-read for any girlboss! - I absolutely loved reading this book, it has been such a fantastic tool to me in my career since the first page. As women, I believe we all encounter imposter syndrome at one time or another and this book stops you from feeling alone and this in itself instils confidence. Alongside this, the content and advice within this book is super useful, I found it particularly handy to be able to read about and identify the different leadership types, as at the time I was in a team of managers and I worked completely differently and it felt like I was doing it wrong until I read this book and I just realised what my style was and how to own this. I would recommend this to any woman in a managerial/corporate position looking for a bit of guidance, it will completely transform your thinking and build confidence in yourself. You got this girllll! Review: Fantastic guide for women who want to excel their career - This book is for any woman at any level of management, or for those planning a career in management. Great pace and well researched throughout. Roedel breaks it down into a step by step guide, so you can return to the summaries for reference when you need them (at work). Roedel helps the reader identify and solve their personal leadership issues. I particularly liked the selection of quotes. The statistics were easy to digest. Roedel draws attention to gender pay gap, which is an important topic for the current feminist movement. The book shows coping mechanism tricks, recommends some good reads and has an encouraging narrative from start to finish. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Good book
If you've been in the corporate world for a while, little of this will come as new but for someone starting out or for a handy reference, I can see it being really useful.

Easy to follow and learn new skills.
I would recommend this book for any women looking at stepping into management, or any women who have already established themselves as a manager, who would like to dust off the cob webs, and refresh their memory on the essential skills, it takes to be a good woman in a leadership.

Just a bunch of snippets
Nothing new here. Just a bunch of snippets taken from elsewhere. Good as a summary but didn’t add any value.

So inspirational, I want to be that lady boss
I bought one of these books and after reading only a few pages I bought another one to send to a friend, so motivating right from the start. I am a business woman starting my new company and the quotes alone have inspired me to grasp the opportunity as it arises. Take the risk on that scary contract , be out of my comfort zone and the book tells me that’s ok. The book will make me stand my ground , be a better negotiator be comfortable in the company of business men because I belong there too. Thanks Jemma Roedel

I’m new to management I recently became a Unit Manager and this book has helped me become more confident in myself while leading a team. The author references studies which I do like, provides statistics and an interesting perspective for new female leaders. I think it’s a great read I highlighted through the whole thing. I do recommend this read whether new Or old to management!
