Hydronix HX-CB-25-1010/3 Reverse Osmosis & Drinking NSF Coconut Carbon Block Water Filter 2.5 x 10, 10 Micron-3 Pack, White

These filters appear to be well constructed. I though all 2.5 x 10 filters would be compatible with various filter housings. My mistake. There were no pictures and little information about the the various dimensions and filter setup on Hydronix Amazon's webpage. These filters are not directly compatible with a Rainfresh 2.5 x 10 inch Filter housing. 1. The top hole in the Hydronix HX-CB-25-1010 filter is too large. 2. The bottom hole is open. The Standard Rainfresh filter has the bottom hole blocked. Fortunately, I found a simple work around. The plastic ends from the used Rainfresh Carbon filter are easily removable. I inserted them both in to the Hydronix HX-CB-25-1010 filter. Both the white bottom (hole blocking) end and the Blue top (open ) end fit quite well. I installed it into the Rainfresh filter housing. So far , so good. It appears to be working.

I've used these filters in my under sink for drinking water for years. It works in conjunction with my whole house filter system. The filter removes any micro particles that would make the water taste bad.

not 1mm micron as advertised but 5mm, i asked for a refund they said ok, they said keep the filters and we will refound you the money this one time only the amazon team told me, i was happy with that. apparently no one sells 1mm micron on amazon. i like the white colors then the black one so you know when its dirty and its time to change, the black ones i would never buy they are probably covering up there poor quality filters.
