Using three of these units in same facility for seamless roaming. These can be as easy as turning them on and they just work, or dig deeper to configure an amazing array of different options. For my needs i love being able to broadcast multiple SSIDs on each unit using different VLANs, separating staff from guests. I have these connected to a switch which provides POE, but I used one for a while with a regular switch and a POE injector. Worked great. I encourage you to read the instructions carefully if you are opening one of these up for the first time. It’s very straightforward and the instructions are well written, but they are quite specific and each step counts.

Cisco does a good job in creating a devices that helps with killing those dead zones in my house. The one thing I will say is that the starter kit does come with a PoE injector. When I was trying to figure it out through the website, it was giving me different answers. The next thing I will say is that these devices are REALLY white. That being said, mines got super dirty pretty quick just from dust and being in the sun light. It got yellow pretty quick. My recommendation is to just keep it away from direct sunlight as much as possible. In terms of setup, this mesh system was pretty easy to setup but it did require a little more plugs than your other mesh systems. One recommendation is have them setup in the same room before moving them to the locations at which you want to put them. It just makes sure they are setup correctly and easier to access all the devices. You can place it anywhere in the house and it can be used as an access point or a wireless router. For me, I just use these as a way to expand my signal to those deadzones in my house. I no longer have to worry about my signal being cut which is awesome. I can actually connect to my television without having issues with disconnect. With these mesh devices, I no longer have to worry about interfering signals and I have a pretty strong and stable connection. What is nice about this is that the device setup is more user friendly then most. I was able to set this up without much trouble. It also has pretty good security features so I can completely disconnect the internet from the entire house or set off times to shut off the internet. It also has provided security to ensure you internet connection is secure. It has a pretty strong signal and is able to reach throughout my house regardless of rooms. It also reached down to my lower den. I actually really enjoyed having these. They run warm but nothing hot. They do not randomly shut off and work really well with most of my smart home devices and I no longer have issues with connecting to them. It does remove all the dead zones in my home which I had a ton of. My television actually can keep a stable connection to the internet now. This device reduces the stress on your modem and single router while giving a better connection. That being said what I do like about this is that you can use it as a mesh or a router. I would say another thing about this device is that the user interface is pretty straight forward and easy to use compared to many other brands. I usually like Cisco brands but I never really use their router products as they are pretty expensive but I am thinking about switching to them after this. I do like that you have the option for adding more mesh devices if needed but this is a really powerful all on it's own. It provides super fast speed without much connection lost. The distance is pretty good and it can go through several rooms before having issues with connection. It does have Ethernet ports to plug directly into the router and is very easy to setup. These mesh devices are fairly small and light. It has an omni directional antenna so you get a wide variety of range. several Overall I do like these devices as you get a really powerful router and signal boost. It is not at all challenging to setup and once you are done it is really blazing fast. The only down side is that the white gets visibly dirty overtime and yellowing if left in the direct sunlight.

This Access Point is awesome— this is the second one I’ve installed. They are pretty much plug and play with an excellent interface if you need advanced settings. These are smart enough to select different channels from each other. I have FIOS and seeing WiFi speeds over 300mbs. Excellent build quality and shipped with an excellent mounting bracket. This is a Poe device so must be used with either an injector or Poe router or a Poe switch.
