OMG! She has done it again!
I am more amazed with this author and her unique ability to bring to life so many different genres all equally fascinating to read. She has an ability to bring out the character s unique humor, love, humanity, and depth of feelings. I find myself wanting to know their future as well as their past. They become friends. I cannot wait to read more. I cannot put these books down. I know it takes a long time to write each book, but I consume them in a matter of hours. I wish her many years of good health and happiness and lots of love! I will always be waiting for the next fascinating journey. Sincerely, thank you! B Greer

Surprise too!
Great surprise again for the 2nd and last book of series. Characters still great with more added who i wanted to keep getting to know. World building was easily imagined. Only bad part of series was that it ended. I wanted to see what happened to them along with their children. K.F. never stops surprising me with her writing. I'm my opinion she is the best writer of this genre.

Great story.
Really hope to read more like this. They were well written, funny, and hard to put down. Personally, I think they'd make an awesome movie. Great job.

Fate of Devotion (finding paradise book2)
I love this author so much!! There is a lot of heart in this series and hi tech, but emotional love! I love everything K F Breene writes, but this was more sci fi compared to her books of fantasy. All of her books have excitement, adventure, devotion and love. Loved this series!!

A great conclusion to Ryker and Millicent's story
I really enjoyed the second book and conclusion to the Finding Paradise series. If you haven't read Fate of Perfection, you absolutely need to before starting this one as they're not designed as standalones. The book starts on Paradise five years after Ryker and Millicent fled Earth. They've several more children and have made a happy life in on their new planet. Millicent has taken a change in career but still dabbles in technology and finally thinks she's solved the mystery of the metal orb that they found in the Toton building in Book 1. If she's right, the danger it represents threatens their peaceful life and their family's future, leading Ryker and Millicent to venture back to Earth in order to quell the rising threat that Toton presents.Earth is in chaos with many of its former conglomerate leaders dead or in hiding and Toton ruling with an iron fist with the occasional disruption from the rebellion. With Marie, their daughter, defiantly travelling with them, they seek the one person they know is brilliant enough to help them: Millicent's sister. With a crew of rebels, Ryker and Millicent work with their allies to try and stop Toton and the mysterious forces behind the powerful conglomerate. There was more solid world-building in this book. Breene gives the invaders an affinity to creepy crawlies and while this was strange, it gave a unique spin to the story. Most of this book is set on Earth so unfortunately there wasn't a lot of Paradise but the story line hit the ground running and didn't stop until the end. There was Breene's customary strong females, alpha males that aren't jerks (all the time - Ryker had his moments but he was so likeable it was forgivable), a stack of humour, particularly of the dry and sarcastic variety, plenty of action and a well thought out plot, witty and clever writing and dialogue and a couple that you're cheering for. Some of the elements were similar to Book 1 where Ryker and Millie were against the world and back in LA, but the story was fast-paced with enough going on that the story line remained entertaining as our fearsome couple put their lives on the line to take on the other-worldly threat. There were more points of view added to Book 2, including Roe, Trent and Danissa (Millie's sister). This is one thing among many that I love about this author's work - the secondary characters are almost, if not just as, good as the main characters. Trent was hilarious, Roe was dry and tough as nails and Danissa added another strong female to the mix. I also love how Breene has her female characters working together and supporting one another rather than competing forces.Overall, this was a great conclusion to an excellent series. It was a little over the top and muddled at times as some events happened quickly, but for the most part the build up was wonderful, as was the action and suspense. My only disappointment is that this series was so brief. I loved it and it's going into my Favourites folder.

Brilliant sci fi action story!
These books deserve to be made into movies. They are gripping, mostly believable stories about a fairly realistic and, naturally, awful Earth future, but they fit in the HFY genre.

Another great book by KFB!
I was not expecting the vast majority of what happened in this sequel to Fate of Perfection! I knew the main characters, Millicent, Ryker, and little Marie, but I wasn't expecting that so much time would have passed and for Marie to be old enough to really start pushing her capabilities. On top of that, there are new characters with their own capabilities, and we find out what Toton has been up to this whole time! It was SO exciting!

What a ride!
Adrenaline rush after adrenaline rush in this one. Mild romance for the most part, I'd consider it teen acceptable. Took awhile before I could like the characters but eventually I liked them a lot.

Sequel is fascinating but less character development
I didn't love the slightly pushy romance of the first book that much, too much sexual predation from the male protagonist and some creepy comments too although the female protagonist goes for him eventually anyway. Despite that book 1 was a great world and good story, I wanted more of it. Book 2 had almost not enough character/relationship development so both only 4/5 but I still enjoyed them

Fast paced exciting read.
I found both books fantastic, but, I did get lost numerous times trying to figure out the current location of the characters. The story skipped to several locations but the author seemed to forget to mention such changes. It is otherwise very well written and very interesting, totally energetic and descriptive in relation to the characters. A good sense of humour too.

Non stop action
For the most part this is a proper rollicking action ride that satisfies at every turn. So why only 3 stars? I found the writing a little clumsy, and at times the book almost read as its own abridged version. It very much presents as teen fiction rather than the science fiction I was hoping for. Whilst the main characters were likeable, and I certainly cared about them I didn't have any doubts about their survival from within a couple of pages of meeting them, and this distracted from the attempt at peril the author was going for. The 'romance' arc was clumsy at best. All of that said, it's a decent story and I'm glad I read it. Better written than book 1

Brilliant!
I loved the two books in the series, very real characters and a superb story.I think these would make great films too.Any chance of a follow up to find out what happens to Earth, and the children?Thank you

A bit disappointing
Not as good as previous books, the obsession with procreation and mothering insticts that save the world made for a weird plot. The writing felt a bit heavy handed which is a shame.
