Approved Ring Buoy

This life ring has been hanging on my boat 24/7 for two 6-month boating seasons, exposed to sun, rain, salt water, etc., and still looks new !!! There is no noticeable fading yet, the poly cord and nylon strap components still look like new. (Many black nylon straps and normal yellow poly used in marine applications would have become brittle and frayed by now.)I am very happy with this item and when it becomes too faded and/or the nylon or poly become too weather-worn for safe use I plan to hang it in the screened-in porch of my beach house as a decorative element. The way it's going it looks like I may not be able to use it for decorating for a number of years !!! If available, whenever this one becomes too weather-worn, I would definitely purchase this exact same item again !!!

Spent a few more dollars but it was well worth it.I hope to never have to use this life ring, but I feel confident that it will do the job.

I just got it in but it is so much better than the one I had to return because of the quality. This is Coast Guard approved and is worth every penny because I know I can rely on it in case of an emergency. We bought it for our pool and so far so good. My husband even was shocked at the difference in quality!!! If you’re looking for a life preserver then make sure you look to see if it’s approved by the Coast Guard. The one we bought before said it was called Lifeline but on the back of the tag it said decorative only! Soooo, we got the orange 20 inch and it’s perfect for our pool. If anything changes then I will be sure to update my review but I doubt that will happen. Plus, it came just in time before my house will be full of little ones swimming!!! Yay!

We replaced our aged Safety Ring for our pool with the Cal June Buoy. The item is highly visible with the bright orange color and it is well constructed. We have it hung on the pool fence by the diving board. Thankfully, we have never had to use our old buoy and hopefully we will never have to use this new one, but it is nice to know it is there if the need arises.

Title says it all...plus, now I see it is no longer being advertised as USCG approved.

We had a near drowning incident with a neighbour's kid in our pool. That freaked us out. It is nice to have something that you can throw to a drowning person, rather than trying to jump in yourself. Jumping in is very dangerous if you aren't a trained lifeguard. Now I can hand this off to whichever adult is watching the children play, and they know they are on duty. Very simple and effective preventative measure.

Great Ring Buoy. Placed near the pool for emergencies. I hope that I never have to use it but we did throw it in the pool to test and it held up 200 Lbs just fine. Feels very durable and I hope it lasts a few years.
