This is my second Hunter sprinkler controller and it is very user friendly. They added a light so you can easily read the LED screen. I chose not to do Wi Fi as we were concerned we would not get a strong signal.

I went from a Hunter ProC to this model and it was an easy install. Happy to have my system working again after weeks of a dead screen on my ProC and a failed attempt to replace the capacitors on the ProC control panel.

This irrigation controller is solidly built, has a nice display, was easy to install, and has a pretty good feature set. However, it is missing some basic easy to use features such as the ability to pick a set of 2 or more zones to run manually (in sequence). Note that it is very easy to select and run 1 zone manually, but that is all that you can select at one time.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Replaced my old controller that died after 12 years. New one easy to install, has WiFi options and works great.

Once the know on my old sprinkler system monitor broke I need a replacement. This system is similar to what I had before and simple to use. It has been great for this non-techy single mom.

Not the 1st time owning a Hunter irrigation controller so Hunter controller becomes a natural choice for its reliability. Yet again this one is EZ to use ESPECIALLY when paired with WIFI wand on Hydrawise app. We installed the controller ourselves by watching Youtube video. Methodically label all your zones especially for those who have many zones! EZ to install. And buy the WIFI wand with this unit which makes scheduling much EZ on Hydrawise.

Sadly living on a hill we are prone to lightning strikes and sure enough a recent one took out our cable and fried our sprinkler controller. The same thing happened 10 years ago. Fortunately I was able to have the new Hunter X2 delivered next day and got it up and running successfully. I really like the wifi compatibility and the fact that it now has onboard memory - no fiddly back up battery needed. Other than that it does exactly what it needs to - operates 7 zones across 1.5 acres with no issues. Thanks Hunter!

The box was completely broken... does not look like a brand new Unfortunately I can't try it before a week ... wish me luck

Excellent value for money, brought to replace one that was blown in a lightning strike. Would buy again every day of the week. Easy to use, easy to setup and adjust.

It is x core not x2. Not compatible with Wand wifi !!!
