LOVE this bottle for running, but take note that not all pouches are the same size
I purchased one of these Nathan water bottles over 2 years ago, and it's my favorite bottle by far For running. The hand grip allows you to carry the bottle without having to actually "hold" onto it. I've taken this bottle on many a long training run, and it's gotten me through a few half marathons as well. I have had zero leaking issues, and I love that I don't have to pull or yank or unscrew anything to drink. I can take a nice big swig with this bottle (I hate bottles that trickle out water, or that I have to bite down to drink through a straw). This bottle is awesome in every way. NOTE: listing says bottle holds 18oz. This is not true. I used a measuring cup and 16oz of water filled it to the very brim. Now, to address some questions about how much the pocket holds. Some have said "It will hold 'x' phone", and others have said it absolutely will not hold the same phone. I believe all reviewers are accurate, but the pouch size varies based on the color chosen. If you look at the pictures carefully, you will see that on some colors, the zippered pouch goes up all the way to the top. These models will fit my iPhone 6 in an Otterbox case with a little wiggle room to spare (zips very easily, not a tight fit, still room for fuel, keys, tissues, etc). Other colors show a pocket that is more centered on the front of the bottle, and shows some fabric between the zipper and the top of the bottle. When I try to fit the same phone in that pocket, it doesn't fit by a long shot. Still fits my keys, fuel, and tissues, and I've stuffed gloves in there as well, but even my iPhone 5s was a snug fit and hard to zip all the way. So if fitting a large phone in the pocket is important to you, study the pictures and choose carefully. As of this writing, it appears that the Black, Cockatoo, Very Berry, Methyl Blue, and Bluestone are the larger pocket size.

Great Addition to Your Long Runs
This is my new go-to bottle for long runs. I live overseas and the temps are regularly 100 F and higher during my runs. This bottle keeps cold water cool for approximately an hour during runs when the temps are over 90 and longer at lower temps. Additionally, I have not had any isues with leaks or condensation at all. The water does slosh around a little bit when it is around 50% full but not unbearably so. Finally, the pocket is large enough fit my ID or creid card, car key, and some cash withouth it being overwhemling. I've used a couple fo different style belts with small flasks previously and could never get it to fit quite right without causing irritation on long runs. So far i've had no issues with this product at all. The colors are great and the self-sealing top is incredible. This is a wonderful product and I've already logged a lot of miles with it. I highly recommend this for your long runs.

Perfect Little Running Buddy
Training for my first full marathon meant ditching my huge clunky water bottle for something that didn’t feel like I was carrying a toddler. It fits perfectly in my hand…like it was designed by someone who actually runs! The squeeze-and-sip lid is AMAZING. No more fumbling with caps while I’m trying to tackle my miles. The pouch holds my electrolyte powder and a gel .. I’m sure it can hold more but let’s be real, I’m not adding anything heavier..I’m already running 26 miles. Easy to clean, comfy to carry, worth the price… and honestly, now I won’t run without it.

Good holder, okay bottle
This is my fourth Nathan handheld water bottle and holder. The last one I had was a 22oz yellow water bottle with a similar holder. I really only needed the holder. A little bummed that it was an 18oz water bottle but luckily the 22oz will fit. It's a little tight but it will fit the holder. I like that this bottle is insulated. The squeeze top is nice cause you don't have to pull up on the top like the older bottles. I've never tried a different brand so I don't have anything else to compare it to. The pouch is a lot bigger that the previous one. I haven't tried to put my phone in there but it would probably fit a smaller phone. The bottom is elastic and the top and nylon strap with no give. That's opposite than the old one. I'm knocking it a star for a couple of reasons. Although the squeeze top is convenient you have to be careful to not squeeze it when you don't want to. I like to run trails and recently took fell and scraped up my leg and landed on my butt. My old bottle was in my right hand and it hit the ground to help break the fall. If that was the squeeze bottle it would have squeeze out a lot of water. I was not hurt enough to stop and kept running but if I had accidently squeezed out my water I would have had to turn back to the car. The other day I was running and started to walk a bit to do something and put the bottle under my arm and accidently shot water across the ground. Again, it is nice and convenient but it could be a problem. I also don't like the smaller opening to the bottle. The old bottle is huge and you can put large ice cubs in there. It's also going to be a pain to add water if I'm racing. I'm going to a trail race in a couple of weeks and they are cup free so I'll be running with my water bottle. I'm sure that they will help me fill it up but if I was racing and I had to fill it up while tired it could again be a pain. It's also a little harder to clean inside with the smaller opening. Overall I'm happy with the set up but I wish they would stop changing the design or give options. That said they do have other products. I went with this because it was similar to my old set up and luckily the old bottle fits. I still love Nathan they are well made products.

A comfortable and useful handheld.
I really like this water bottle. The pouch is pretty roomy and the bottle is easy to hold. Not that I want it to, but there's no way my cell phone would fit in the pouch (Galaxy S22 Ultra) and if it did, it would be a noticeable amount of weight in there. Unlike one of my other handhelds, the strap used to tighten the hand strap doesn't work its way loose too easily. The hand strap is actually snug enough where the strap probably is redundant, anyway. My only problem has been that while it's great to just squeeze the bottle to squirt water into my mouth, I've often accidentally squirted water out of the bottle when using my hands for other purposes--like pushing off on rocks. It's still my go-to bottle and this order was to get a spare for me and a gift for a friend. In the past, I'd have said that it would be nice to have a key hanger in the pouch, but now with cars using fobs, I put my key in a small baggie in the pouch to protect it from the elements, so a key hanger wouldn't help anyway.

Turns Out I Have a New Running Buddy
I used to think carrying a water bottle while running was punishment invented by people who don’t run. Then I found this Nathan SpeedDraw and now I’m basically in a committed relationship with it. The adjustable hand strap + thumbhole combo? Chef’s kiss. It’s like the bottle said, “Relax, I’ll hold on to YOU.” Zero death grip required, which means my hand isn’t clawed into a lobster shape by mile 6. The expandable pocket is the real MVP. It swallowed my phone, gels, ID, and even my dignity when I thought I’d only be running three miles (spoiler: it was seven). I’m pretty sure it could hold the secrets of the universe if I tried. Also, it looks sleek in black/metallic gold. Honestly, I feel like I should be running into the end zone at the Super Bowl every time I sip from it. Hydration has never looked this cool. If you run, hike, or just want to look like you have your life together while walking the dog—stop scrolling. Buy this bottle. Your future less-dehydrated self will thank you.

Good comfort. Easy waterflow. Perfect capacity.
Very comfortable to hold. Like that the bottle is insulated. It's easier that the last model to easily get out as much or as little water as you like at the moment. For me it's the perfect capacity for 5 - 10 miles.

Please do not buy this!!! Read below
Anyone who likes this has never used it or never actually ran with it. See the attached picture. Unless you squeeze the bottle hard enough to deliver waaaaay more water than you want or can handle, there’s not enough pressure to suck the valve closed. When using it normally you run with it, it’s basically a sprinkler. Every time you move your arm it tosses water out. All over me, all over the bottle, all over the case, all over my shoes. Which is exactly what I want when it’s 19 degrees out. Astounding how this design made it out of QA. I loved my old Nathan speedMax, I used it for 5 years. I will not be buying another Nathan product
