We had a painter who also applies epoxies to garage floors. This product is apparently more durable than garage floor epoxy. At least I learned this through doing research on this product vs epoxy. It’s now on our garage floor. Looks great, easy to clean. We had just had a garage added on so we were able to have this applied over clean cement and didn’t ned to move things out. The cement etching still needs to be done even on brand new cement to make sure the product top coat adheres. We chose the “greige” color since we didn’t want it to be too dark. We love it!

The Rock Solid clear covered well and was ready to walk on 24 hours later. My only complaint is that the anti skid additive settles out pretty fast, so you have to stir it every few minutes, which is difficult when using a roller tray. My garage floor has areas that are more glossy because of this. Since this a garage/workshop it doesn’t bother me. But, if I was hoping for a showroom look I would have to do a second coat with more attention to continual mixing.

This product is very straight forward: comes in a pouch with A and B parts, all you need to do is roll the pouch on the floor to force break the seal and then just shake back and forth for at least a minute to mix. Where my issue with this product lays is that it does NOT cover what it promises it does on the package. I applied this to a Rocksolid Dark Gray polycuramine coat with full flake coverage and based on the product container, this should cover about 450-500sq ft. I have a 379sq ft 2-car garage, and this product barely covered approx 320sq ft, even though I only applied a whisp thin layer as I fought the roller to spit out up to last drop of this stingy product onto the floor and not even then I was able to finish my garage floor. What’s worse is that this product has a hefty price tag, so it is not cheap, yet they short you out with the amount. I had read plenty of negative reviews about the same issue, but seeing as how the dark gray 2.5 car garage kit did just fine, I was thinking those reviews were askew, but I now know I was sadly mistaken. I am not sure how they can continue to make false advertisement and haven’t been sued for it yet. I will now have to spend another $200+ to be able to finish this project. As far as added protection, I cannot attest to that, although I have been left wondering what kind of added protection can this have when all I was left with is a mist thin layer due to how little the product yields. Don’t get suckered like me and many others into this “easy” diy product and perhaps find something else that works better or on par for the price.

get everything cleared out of garage, read instructions and scour garage floor. if done right, its a rock hard product!! too easy to overdue the flakes, so be judicious when applying. Also, you may have enough for second coat, wait for final coat to apply colour flakes. you can do it

This is a great product to use on top of the base coat, Especially if flakes are used. It will spread easily with a long pole and roller, but do not Use the foam roller that’s included in the box. Buy a thin Knapp roller from your local hardware store. You’ll no doubt need 1.5 times more clear coat than what is shown on the box. So if you have a 2-car garage, you’ll probably need 2 boxes of the 2.5 car clear coat boxes. And maybe one more. Wait 24-36 hours before trying to walk on the coating, and 48 hours before parking your car, depending on outside temperatures. Also, DO NOT apply during windy conditions. Dust doesn’t respect sticky coatings! Amazon is the best place to purchase the rustoleum products.

It is an nice product and the reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the product says that you can have a 2.5 car garage with a single box and that is not true. Is you really want a nice finish floor, make sure you buy 2 of this at least. Otherwise you will have a really thin layer of exposy and sometimes it won't be enough to cover the hole floor.
