Lightweight, slim, great pen light
This is a great pen light. It's 400 lms which is a pretty bright stream of light. My husband is a mechanic so he always needs to see into small spaces. He really finds a pen light useful as he can hold it in his mouth. (Haha) he tried headlamps, but they're hard to get just right. This light is light weight and slim. (Which again makes it easy to hold) It's rechargeable. Which for us is a bonus. We spent a lot of money on batteries over the years. This light feels well made. It is on or off, or you can quick press to make it strobe.Has a clip so you can easily put it in a shirt pocket or any other pocket, for easy access. My only complaint is I thought the red slider was to make it from a point to a broad light, but there's no options like that. The good of the red slider is its to cover the charging port so if you drop it in the dirt, you can still charge it, without ruining the light or charger. All in all it's a great light weight slim light for a great price.

No more batteries
Awesome little flashlight. You just have to remember to charge it regularly ( about every week or so for my level of usage, your mileage may vary ). It doesn’t give a warning when it’s about to die, it just goes out. But otherwise, it’s a very durable and useful tool to have. No more batteries.

Well made, great performance for the size
I bought this thing on sale for $8, but even for the regular $20-ish it's worth the price. It gives a ton of usable light for such a little flashlight. I use it primarily for a few minutes here and there, mostly as an inspection light when working on things, sometimes at night to get around the yard. I don't know how long it will run on high, but I believe torque test channel on you tube did a full review of it. The small size makes it easy to use in small spaces. Overall it's very useful as an inspection type light. The one slight negative is it uses USB micro plug to charge, USB C would have been better. Maybe they'll change this in future versions.

Great flashlight.
This flashlight works really good. It comes in handy very bright and I like that I can charge it so I don’t have to keep buying batteries and it’s not heavy to carry all day. I use it quite a lot. The only bad part is I am unable to replace the battery After having one for quite a while and usi eventually, the battery was not working and I wound up buying another one since I could not find the replacement battery. That is the only problem other than that it works really well. The other thing I noticed as time went, the light started not to be as bright started fading. Other than that it is really a good flashlight. I’ve used it quite a lot on the job being a super you definitely need to have a good flashlight, checking plumbing and other things. Definitely recommend it.

Great size, great light
Nice product. I loved that it's rechargeable and the size is perfect. I keep it with me when I walk the dog. I also like its brightness and that it doesn't have that annoying "strobe" light.

Good design, and good construction. Finally good power in a small package. A very good product.
I took a chance on this flashlight but I have to say that all the Energizer products I have owned have been very good and this one is exceptional. It is very powerful with a high, low and flash setting. The high is very bright rated at 400 lumens. At close range a few feet, it is too bright and you will need to switch to the low setting. It is very light, compact and powerful. Best of all it is rechargeable, just pull the red collar down to reveal the charging port. A small cable is provided but it is a standard cable type. There is no charger but you probably have a couple already in your house to use. I have not yet exhausted the battery so I have no idea how long it will run on a single charge. To be determined.

Looks good - when the sun is shining bright...
I'm a flashlight fetishist. It has become somewhat of a burden, in the "LED Age." The advances in LED technology have been startling, for the past five years or so! So, when this Energizer rechargeable penlight showed up on the Amazon, I sprung for one. Got it today. The construction is nice! The cleverly-hidden micro-USB charging port in particular. The fairly standard extruded-aluminum construction is well-executed. It's not mentioned in the promotional verbiage, but it also has the "zoom focus" feature... you can slide the front in and out, to make the beam wide or narrow. Three modes ("bright," dim, and bright-flashing) are controlled by a clicky button on the tail cap. No fancy half-pushes or anything. Push the button, the next mode in sequence shows up. (If you had it on dim, the next time you power it on, it's blinking.) I'm not too fond of that... would much prefer the most-recently-used mode to come back. But whatever...My biggest gripe - BRIGHTNESS! Or specifically, lack thereof! 400 lumens? Yeah, right! (NOT!) I cycled the modes several times, thinking I wasn't getting the "bright" setting. But I saw the other two, and I was operating it right.See the accompanying photo. I got out a cheap single-AA fixed-focus flashlight that I've had for at 5 years... was advertised as being 160 lumens. The "Energizer" is on the left (zoomed for maximum brightness in the middle); the 160-lumen flashlight is on the right. The old-timer is far, far brighter... and all the "spill" is coming from it, as well.Frankly, I'd guess that 40 lumens is maybe what they meant...?In any case... don't buy one of these, expecting to be dazzled by the light output. I'll probably keep it as a bedside flashlight. I can use it to find my dropped lip balm or eyedrops. Pretty useless for any "distance" work.*** UPDATE, September 8 ***Good ol' Amazon facilitated my returning the defective model... and indeed it was defective. The replacement shines much brighter. I still question the 400-lumen figure, but the replacement throws useful light, making the Energizer penlight a pretty decent little package, all things considered. Upgrading from 2 to 4 stars.
