Fit perfect
I haven't used the shot gun for decades and when i tried to unlock the slide safety it broke more than likely for plastic degrading. When i ordered the slide it came in a couple of days and it was easy to remove and install now the slide safety works perfectly.Original slide was black and the replacement Red looks just fine.

Fit, works. Big improvement over OEM.
Fit fine, works fine. I replaced the broken one easily, but I did have to do a tear down because internal parts shifted. I don't know why none of the suppliers I looked at include the little metal slider plate underneath the stock safety. Mine needed to have wear ridges smoothed off to make the slide work smoothly. I did not even try to replace the detent ball as that appeared to be locked into the receiver.I also cannot figure out way Mossback would make the OEM safety so flimsy.

590, 590 shockwave, and 930
Perfect fit on the Mossberg 590, 590 shockwave and Mossberg 930. Makes the safety much easier to manipulate, and easier on your thumb than the plastic original. Did not notice a size difference with the exception of the ridge in the top of this safety. As for removing factory installed one way screw: a piece of masking tape on the top of the screw and a flathead screwdriver and it comes out with little effort. I definitely recommend this easy and much needed upgrade to the Mossberg factory plastic safety.

Perfect replacement for the factory plastic one
Super easy to install, works better than the factory switch.

Better quality than the stock one
Definitely an upgrade to your Mossberg shotgun. The stock safeties are notorious for sticking and not being adjustable due to a one-way safety screw. These have a nice adjustable Allen bolt so you can tighten or loosen your safety over time which is nice. The large thumb-tab also makes it much easier to toggle, especially with gloves on. They're also aluminum instead of plastic, which should last longer. I bought a Mossberg so I can still use it at 99, and I'm not sure why the new ones have so many plastic components compared to my dad's Vietnam era one.My one note is installation is not the easiest. During installation, my safety fell into the receiver and I ended up having to disassemble the trigger mechanism to get it back. Some forums suggested laying the shotgun on its side during installation to prevent this from happening, but I'm not sure how well this would work. Also, to remove the original safety screw I found it works well to put a piece of duct tape over it and then unscrew it as a normal screw through the tape.

Fits and looks great.
Fits and looks great. But, I didn't read and follow the installation directions, so, in return I got to learn how to completely disassemble and reassemble my Mossburg 590 shotgun. After that, the new metal safety is great. Patience comes with age!!!

Not Easy to Install-had to take to gunsmith
Mossberg 590. I had read the instructions and watched a couple video's. Followed all instructions about slide back and trigger cable tied. I laid the gun on its side to avoid having the safety catch piece with the threads fall into the receiver, but it did. removed the trigger group and held pressure against the threaded safety piece and tried to screw the safety catch into it. Tried for about 3 hours but could not get the ball bearing situated correctly. Gave up and took to my gunsmith. He said he had a heck of a time getting it but did eventually get it installed. Even done professionally its not as smooth as I had hoped. Wish I never bought it and left the original safety switch alone.
