We ordered this 10' solar string light to use on a hutch that my husband built on our back patio. As noted in the product description, the string is trimmable. We only needed about 6' and installed it on the underside of the ledge for ambiance lighting.He attached solar charging panel to the upright fence post, so it is able to collect sunshine in the afternoon for 6+ hours.This string is not Bluetooth, so you do need to actually get up and turn on the button/switch thing on the back of the solar panel to turn the lights on. We are so used to having everything Bluetooth connected, but that does not detract from this item!We normally keep the lights on for a few hours at most, and they remain bright enough to provide a little bit of task lighting, but by no means is the light bright enough to, for example, read labels or slice limes.We have used this light strip for only about a month now, so it remains to be seen how it holds up over time. For the low price paid, I don't imagine to get years and years out of this strip, but I will update my review as needed. For now, we are very happy with this purchase. I recommend!

Bought these to illuminate my front porch (concrete) steps. Purchased clear Gorilla brand adhesive to secure them to porch. Solar works great. Even comes on at night after cloudy day. Very pleased with purchase.

I bought these for our new gazebo. WHAT A JOKE!!!! The "sticky" isn't sticky by no means. I started peeling the backing and move a little over 2 inches and watched as it slowly came down. The adhesion is not there at all. I am not returning them as I will try attaching it somewhere else with thumbtacks.UPDATE Even though the sticky part of these lights didn't work, I did find a use for them and I'm happy I kept them. We live in a very rural area, our property has 1 street light on it. If we lose power it is extremely dark! These lights are super bright, now I need a coupe more strips to complete the deck!

These strip lights have an adhesive backing which should make them easy to install. Unfortunately the adhesive sticks to the protective cover tape instead of the strip light. At least 90% of the adhesive pulls off when you remove the cover tape. If you look at the strip light near the bottom of the picture you will see a few small patches of adhesive that stayed on the strip light. I had to cut and apply double-sided tape to the strip lights in order to install them. Would not buy again.Update: One of the 2 strips I bought stopped working after 1 day of use. It's mounted pretty high up so it will be a real pain to get down but I'll do it to return it. Looking at similar lights from other sellers they all seem to have these problems, probably all from the same manufacturer.Update 2: Decided to try one last thing before taking it down - replaced the battery, and it worked. The original is a 600mah Ni-MH of very poor quality (see pic) I've come across these before and they're no good. I installed a name brand 2000mah Ni-MH and now it stays lit until 4AM. At least I don't have to go through the hassle of returning it.

I put the light behind a small sign, connected to the solar collector and had a partial sun/cloudy day. That night the lights only lasted a few hours and sent dark. The only time I got a whole evening of light was after a day that was blue skies and sun. Very disappointed.

It glows all night after a day in the sun.Spring and summer so far. We’ll see how winter goes.
