Great Value!
I'm one of those nerds that do two weeks worth of research before buying a ballpoint pen and buying a TV mount was no exception. I scoured through dozens and dozens of wall mounts and finally settled on this Cheetah mount. I read all of the negative and positive reviews and decided that for the price it was worth a try (I paid $30.33). I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the mount was. This wall mount was so solid that I believe it could have easily supported a much larger and heavier TV set. Yes, it was a bit tough to move at first as some reviewers noted but I would much rather it be too tough to move than too loose. In any case, it did quickly loosen up to where it was easy enough for my wife to move, yet it still stayed 'firm' enough to hold the desired position. I did not find the construction flimsy at all as some noted, quite the contrary it was durable and heavy. Installation was really easy and while I am pretty handy the directions were simple enough for anyone to follow; in fact I found it so easy that I installed the mount and TV by myself (of course the TV only weighed about 25 lbs). Once a stud was located the mount was rock solid. It was nice to be able to move our older 32 inch Olevia in any direction (up, down, side to side, in, out). I really wanted an articulating arm and this did the trick. The bolt pattern on the back matched up to the obscure pattern on our TV just fine. The HDMI cable and the level made it an even better value. One reviewer noted this his TV dipped to one side. My TV dipped also, but it was easily fixed when I slightly tightened the silver nut on the back of the up/down swivel. It has held a perfect level ever since. I ordered the Hol-E-Cap wall cover kit to give a really clean look to hide the wires behind our drywall (this also was a great value and easy to install). I waited for six months before writing this review and I have moved the TV all over in various directions and it has held great every time. Not a single issue since installation. If you are looking for a great TV wall mount and do not want to pay hundreds of dollars than this wall mount is for you.

it's perfect and I love it
Because I work from home as a full time software engineer and take care of my 17 month old son while my wife goes into work, I find myself needing to entertain my son with some educational shows from time to time (so that I can actually get something done.) I built a wood gate system to keep him in the front room with me, and I had a spare HP monitor, so I wanted to find an affordable, articulating mount to install the monitor on so that I could adjust it to his needs. I came across this mount and decided to give it a try. For my application, it's perfect and I love it! Pros: - It has plenty of movement (180° Swivel, 360° Rotation, ±15° Tilt). Whether my son is sitting in his high chair, sitting in his bean bag, or standing, I can adjust this to give him the best viewing experience. - It's sturdy. My son weighs 31 lbs and I've witness him hanging off of this mount without causing any damage to the mount. Again, I have a spare HP monitor attached to it but that, with him hanging on it, can be handled by this mount. - It's easy to assemble. When I opened the box, I noticed there were way too many bolts and screws than I would need, so it was a little overwhelming at first. But then I realized that you get a lot of mounting equipment so that out of the box, it will fit almost any application. I screwed this into the wood fence with two bolts (that were included) and kept the rest of the mounting hardware for spares. - It's designed to be installed on a single stud. Most mounts that are long, horizontal bars, require two studs to install the mount on. This mount, however, can be installed on one stud, keeping it's footprint small. Cons: None. Honestly, for the price I paid, I couldn't find anything to complain about. I've had this mount for about 6 months now, and even under abuse from my son, it continues to hold up great. If you're looking for an affordable, sturdy mount for monitors or TVs less than 50lbs, then I would highly recommend this product!

Great Price, Great Quality and Great Customer Service!
This may end up being my biggest review posted, but it has a great outcome. I ended up purchasing 2 of these mounts because of the price and figured if one works then I'll use the other in my room for the TV. So I have a 55" Insignia I have been wanting to set up in our dining room with a full swivel mount so we can turn it multiple angles. I read the reviews and saw some people say they set up their 55" TV and it worked fine and some complained about it. I researched my TV's weight and realized I would be fine and took my chance. The day I got the stand I set it up that night. I did the full process, setting up an idea of where the TV would go, measuring everything, making sure everything was straight and leveled, etc. I wanted this to be perfect, well once we installed the mount (which let me say was very easy, lightweight and came with all the equipment) I leveled everything and it looked perfect. Once we placed the TV on, it was very crooked and I was so upset. But once measuring and tightening up the ball joint on the back I came to think maybe it was a bad mount. The next day I reached out to customer service and sent them pictures and expressed I triple checked everything! I have dealt with some customer service reps that are not helpful or just say send it back we will reimburse you. These guys wanted to make sure I was well taken care of so they told me they would send me a different style mount that would be able to do the same things just instead of a single arm it was a dual arm for the mount. I went ahead and told them my studs were 16" apart and they sent it to me in 2 days!! Here's where I get embarrassed, once I got it, I wanted to set it up at home right away. I started to get everything ready and measure my studs distance and make sure everything was straight, then I came to realize... my studs were 24" apart! Now I felt ridiculous, so I emailed customer support, expressed my situation and told them it was my fault and I would pay for the new one and shipping because all I wanted was my TV on a wall mount. They told me not to worry and send back the one they sent me and they would send out another one with 24" stud points. I was amazed that they were doing all of this so I could be a happy customer. Well sure enough 3 days later, get the new wall mount and set it up right away. I will say it was a lot heavier than the one I am reviewing about but in the end if worked perfect, my TV is on a wall mount with their product and I could not be happier! I have gotten many friends to like it and told them about the experience. Also I ended up setting up the wall mount (that I thought was defective) in our bedroom for our 42" LG and again very easy to do and our TV looks great... I don't think the mount was bad just think my 55" TV may have been too big and possibly the weight was uneven for the TV. I have attached some pictures to show how our 42" LG TV looked on the wall mount, as you can see it can almost come to a full turn which is perfect for us because one picture is our view from our bed. Long story short, if you are looking for a wall mount, I would get this not just for the price but the quality and customer service. Honestly I'd pay whatever price due to customer service, because now I feel no matter what I pay they are going to take care of me. And for that, I thank them with my business and all future business as well.

Great mount for the price. Make sure you have all the tools you need.
Works well, relatively easy to install. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Build quality is solid, and the joints provide a good range of options for the position of the screen. For the price I was surprised how solid the hardware is. Some notes on things I noticed during installation: • A set of Allen wrenches and a socket wrench set are needed for installation. You could use a small wrench set, but I found the socket wrench invaluable in securing the bolts to the stud. Also either wrench set will help secure the nuts when loosening the arm joints. The hardware was so tight on these joints, I had to use wd40 to loosen the nuts and bolts to allow movement of said joints. •also you will need a drill with a 5mm or 10mm drill bit, depending on if you are drilling into drywall or concrete, respectively. Also a regular screw driver. •If you are affixing the mount to drywall you will need a way to find the stud. Some other handier men may be able to find the stud with a hammer and their ears, but I required a stud finder. • I placed the mount for the 32 inch screen about 7 feet in the air in the corner of a bedroom and if you are thinking of doing something similar, make sure you have someone to help, or one heck of a plan to accomplish it on your own. • a small level and a hdmi cord are included in the package In closing, extremely pleased with product. I am not worried that I will wake up to a crash of the monitor falling. It is secure, and able to be repositioned with relative ease. (Ease of movement can be increased or decreased by tightening the joints to your needs.) I would probably buy the same one next time I need to mount a screen.

400mm VESA TV's - Fixed
Update 2-24-2016: Cheetah Mounts has re-engineered this mount and they sent me one of their new models to test. The VESA hole pattern issue has been fixed. They also fixed the issue I mentioned with the A/B markings and the instructions have been updated and are now easy to understand. Kudos to Cheetah Mounts for listening to their customers and making the appropriate adjustments. Clearly this company stands behind their product and they don't want to settle for anything less than a perfect customer satisfaction. In my opinion, they have fixed everything they needed to with this mount and I'm recommending it as an excellent product now plus increasing my rating to 5 stars. Original review: If you need the extensions to fit a standard 400 VESA pattern you're in for some frustration. The build quality is poor on the extensions. 2 of the 4 extensions were fine but the holes one one extension was slightly off making it barely possible to get the bolt into one of the holes. The final extension had one hole drilled way off, it wasn't even close and impossible to mount. I ended up using a drill and a file to ream out two of the hole to get them to align enough to get the bolts in. Even then I had to leave all the bolts on the extensions loose to get it to line up with the mounting holes on the TV. Over an hour later I finally got the extensions and mount attached to the TV. I read all the other reviews and made the choice to pull the pivot bolt in the center to more easily get it on the wall. I bolted on the half of the mount that attached to the TV first. Getting it on the wall is at least a 2 person job, one to hold the TV and the other to slide the pivot pin/bolt back in. It would have been impossible to mount the TV as the instructions indicated which would have been to screw the bolts through the extensions into the TV once the whole mount was attached to the wall. Once the TV is on the wall the mount works fine. There are screws to adjust the tension on the pivot ball to keep the TV from sagging and the mount is sturdy enough to hold my 37 pound TV. My advice to buyers is if you have a smaller TV that won't need the extensions, buy this mount. If you have a larger VESA pattern that will need the extensions buy something else. My advice to the manufacturer is to fix your extensions and pay attention to the build quality. Also improve the instructions. The extensions are marked with and A and a B but no matching A and B anywhere else including no mention of this in the instructions. If there is some kind of trick to making this work easier you should make a Youtube video to show people how although I'd prefer to just have more clear instructions that includes simple information like how to know what is right side up for the extensions. The next time you design a mount, take a look at your competition and design a way to easily attach the TV to the mount once the mount is on the wall and you'll have a far better product. My TV is a 37 pound 51 inch Samsung plasma. There are several things that are good about this mount but these don't outweigh the frustration of getting this mount to work; 1. It comes with a nice HDMI cable. This is a great plus for the price. 2. It comes with a level. Didn't need it but still a nice plus. 3. It comes with a small push button LED that can be hung on the back of the TV to illuminate labels on the TV. 4. The mount is made of heavy gauge steel and I found it very sturdy even for a 51 inch TV. 5. It comes with a Velcro cable tie. 6. The mount is cheap and ships free with Amazon Prime. I've paid more than the cost of this mount just for shipping when I've bought other mounts.

Probably ok for smaller tv's, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
REVIEW UPDATE: I originally gave this product 3 stars, and I stand by that (see below for our experience); however, I am upgrading my review to 5 stars because I am blown away by the customer service. In less than a week of me leaving my original review, Cheetah Mounts commented on my review, and I called them as requested. The gentleman discussed with me the company and their products. He also elaborated on how important his customer reviews were in future product creation. They are making several adjustments to their products and attempting to rectify any issues that their customers have found. I wish they sold other things, we would buy everything from them. This is a model for how companies should be today. An affordable product, with constant adjustment and improvement to products that need it, people seeking customer input and advice, and going out of their way to make a problem right. Cheetah mounts is sending us a mount to replace the one we have. The rep I spoke with also gave me contact information in case we have any other problems. GREAT COMPANY! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Short version: good mount for smaller TV's, if you are willing to use some ingenuity in case the mount doesn't come exactly as the instructions say. And by other reviews, the company seems to help when they can if something isn't right. Long version: I should have paid more attention to the reviews that claimed it was great for smaller TV's because I'm sure it's awesome for those. Our TV is only a 46 inch, but it feels like we're pushing our luck the longer it's hanging on our wall. The mount came with the mounting base upside down. We only discovered this because the picture in the instructions showed the square pivot point on top and ours was on bottom if the paw logo was to be right side up. So, we had to switch that first. Next, I assembled the extensions as directed, but when placed on the tv, they wouldn't line up. By the instructions, you are supposed to attach the tv to the mount after the mount is on the wall. If you have a heavy tv, this is very difficult. We had to take the mount apart at that very same pivot point so we could attach the tv portion of the mount to the tv and then reattach to the wall portion of the mount. By the way, the instructions should specify that the extensions maybe should not be tightened completely until placement on the tv is perfect. They instruct to tighten the extensions in place first. We attached the extension pieces loose, put the main mounting screws in place (the ones that attach the mount to the tv), and then tightened all the screws down in their proper place. Theeeennnn, we put the mounted tv on the wall mount and secured the pivot point again. There was yet another problem. The ball swivel seemed to not be able to hold the weight of our tv. The instructions said to tighten each spring with an allen wrench, however, the three screws surrounding the ball were not allen wrench compatible. We were able to tighten with a standard wrench, but not able to tighten enough for the tv to stay in place. Aaaaaahhh, it was so frustrating. The mount seems to be very sturdy and secure on the wall, no doubt. But we have a block of wood duck taped under the ball to hold the tv at the proper angle. haha Soooo, my 3 stars is a bit high because I think the mount would have been okay for a smaller tv and I'm only docking it for all the MacGyvering we had to do. Enjoy

Works perfectly... a quality wall mount...
I am very satisfied with the Cheetah Mount product purchased from Amazon. It represents a thoughtful design that is expertly manufactured and assembled. Quality is obvious and there's no sharp edges present to open a finger or palm. The installation was straight forward and simple for one person to accomplish. There's surprisingly easy to understand included instructions and all the hardware was present. I did this from start to finish sans a helper, including mounting a LG 32" flat panel LCD TV after the Cheetah Mount was installed on my wall location. This was done by removing the bolt, nut and washers that the mounting base pivots on, allowing me to easily secure this to the backside of my TV. Then the TV and attached mounting base were fitted onto the Cheetah Mount (already installed on the wall) to reinsert the bolt, which holds the TV in place while the nut and washers were re-affixed and tightened securely. Caveat - I would not recommend such a "one person" installation with larger screen TV sets > 32" due to weight and size. Edit to add some post installation observations - Consider a "walk thru" of your install before actually drilling any holes in your wall. Be advised that the placement of your TV set on your wall will likely be offset vertically from the mount's "ball socket" due to the location of the four VESA mounting holes as found on the back of your TV set. That's simply something to watch for and keep in mind - otherwise your TV set will end up higher or lower than you intended. Too, the Cheetah mount's "ball socket" is itself offset above the horizontal center of the wall back plate by almost 1.5" as measured vertically. Add to that, when those articulating arms are fully folded against the wall, the horizontal/vertical center of your TV set screen will be horizontally offset about 2" from the vertical center line of the mount's back plate as secured to the wall... left or right depending on which way you've collapsed said arms flush to the wall. As is often said, "it is what it is" - this cannot be compensated if you are securing the Cheetah mount's two lag bolts into a wall stud.

Great, solid mount (Edited)
After reading my original review, the company reached out to me regarding the issues I presented and addressed them with a product update. I have received the new product and can see that the issues have been solved. The wing extensions have been reworked to allow an easier installation. The joints have also been strengthened. Also, it now comes with the necessary hardware. I really appreciate that the company took the time to address the issues and make sure I was satisfied. The customer service is top-notch and I would recommend dealing with them. I have included my original review below: "*Low rating for hardware and fit issues* First of all, this is a solid mount. I've moved the tv around a lot and it seems to be holding up pretty well. I'm using this for my Samsung 46" slim tv. It's about 34 pounds, which is relatively light. My mount pattern is VESA 400, which is the largest this mount can go. So I attached the extenders to make the bracket big enough to fit. Not too difficult. Then I realized the screw pack they provide didn't even include the screws necessary to mount my tv! My tv needed M8 screws, and they provided almost every screw size up to M6. That's pretty frustrating, because the product description stated that the package included ALL HARDWARE needed to mount you tv. And M8 is a pretty popular size for tv's. Anyway, I went screw shopping and bough some M8's, about 1" long. Then as I start hooking up the tv, I realize the spacers they provided 1) don't fit my screws and 2) are not nearly long enough to fill the 3/4" gap. Lame. At this point I'm too frustrated to go out and buy new spacers, so I made some out of a coat hanger wire. Whatever. So as I'm mounting my tv to the bracket, I get three screws into the tv and can't get the 4th one to reach! The mount is slightly too small to reach all four mount holes. Pain in the butt. So I take out those screws and rotate the mount 90 degrees, and try again. Same issues. Finally I try to pull the bracket as far as I can to get the screw in the hole at an angle, it goes in after much struggle. Then I spend another 20 minutes trying to get the screw into the threads. I finally got all four screws all the way into the holes - with way to much struggle and frustration. It was way more difficult than it should have been. Summary: 1. Did not include necessary hardware for my tv. 2. Does not easily fit a 400 VESA mount pattern. 3. Pain in the butt, but seems like a solid mount."
