A great gift for my grand-nephew who likes to draw...

Love this book, a lot of prints from author

Words are unnecessary. I could stare at the drawings for hours.

This is a beautiful book. My seven year old grandson is enjoying exploring the drawings on his own.

Everyone should flip through this book at least once in their life.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 11 year old granddaughter. She is interested in art and is good in math, so I thought an introduction to M.C. Escher was appropriate. She was fascinated with the book, and spent quite a bit of time going through it. It's a very nice book with a lot to read if you want to, but also is nice to just pick up and thumb through for the illustrations.

Imagine coming up with the idea to create a drawing of a hand drawing another hand that in turn was drawing the original hand that was drawing...? Say what?I was first introduced to M.C. Escher by a good friend at the time way back in the mid 1970s. Yup... Almost a half century ago! Whoa! However, there are some who say Escher was a bit out there in left field. Well, whichever position he played, this is one really cool book of Escher's really cool drawings/wood carvings, etc. Highly recommended.
