This is the very best carabiner I've bought on Amazon (and I bought about 6 large xxl size carabiners recently to help solve problems). This may not be the intended use, but this one is just the right size to slip my wrist into up to my forearm and with the other clip on the S to the door handle. I have opened industrial size doors with a heavy spring (gym doors, public restrooms, shop/store doors) hands free. It is an incredibly useful tool to allow me accessibility to public spaces that do not have electric door openers. I hope this review is helpful to others who seek a tool to solve similar issues. The best part of this is that, as opposed to other XL & XXL carabiners, this is so lightweight I can clip it onto my purse with my car and house keys (in little keychain zipped bags) and it doesn't drag my purse down to my knees :)

first, this thing is BIG, so check your measurements. but it works incredibly well and is super strong and durable. highly impressed by the manufacturing quality of this product. originally had a smaller size one that's still operating after years of use and decided to get the jumbo size and it's been great. Again, double check your measurements.

I have several of these. They are always useful in ways you would never expect. They are also a bit of a conversation starter.

This is large. Has to be for the gate to open wide enough to capture a bicycle wheel or bungle of hose or extension cord bundle. But it's large. The description cites this is the "Winner of 2008 Editor's Choice Award Backpacker Magazine". Can't quite grasp the uses of one this large. I use size 4 S-Biners on my pack's back lattice or shoulder straps to quickly snap on stuff, and I prefer lashing my pack by its shoulder straps around a tree to hold it with bungee cords. While one could consider using this size 10 S-biner to clip the pack 'handle-strap' and then up to a tree limb, the gate doesn't help so much for this, especially manipulating at the tree limb end. Lullabop's Qliplet or Qlipter idea provides a better solution (swiveling, wider open hook on one end), but even then I'd only use these with a day pack to hook up to a tree, fence, or table. The Size 10 S-Biner isn't versatile enough. A big, strong plastic S-hook (no gates) might serve the really useful roles for this S-Biner even better.

Literally the best and sturdiest S-biner ever. Excellent for hanging groups of objects on hooks or closet rails too.
