GSP NCV48508 CV Axle Shaft Assembly - Right Front (Passenger Side)

Challenging removal of old product. May need to make improvised tool or buy factor special tool for about $320. Performs as OEM after several hundred miles test drive.

This CV axle assembly was just fine, it was exactly what I expected and the installation was routine for me !!! It's not the first time for me to replace the CV axle assembly on either (Front) side of this car !!!! It's the second time on both front axles on my car !!! My Vehicle is a 2008 Mercedes-Benz E-350 4Matic (Sports Package). What happens is the ABS "Ring" or whatever it's called is not in the correct position on the outer (CV) Joint. It is "IN" TOO far by about 5 OR 6 Millimeters so that it is not "CENTERED" to the ABS sensor and the ABS light comes ON and of course then you don't have the ABS working at all !!! I managed to remedy this "Condition" by taking a (Flat) punch and "Carefully" moving/Sliding this ABS ring Outwardly about 5 or 6 Millimeters and then with the ABS sensor removed, and looking down the hole, seeing that it was centered "Properly" Being careful not to Damage this ring. My thoughts are that these axles are NOT for the 4-Matic models which have "Slightly" different front Suspension/Axle/Hub/Bearing components !!! YES, leave it to the Auto Makers, Engineers, Etc. etc. to do this kind of "Malarkey" !!! Since I Knew this was going to be an ISSUE, I was well prepared for it from the last 3 or4 times, YEAH !!! Not very impressed. The outer cv boot fell off. I had to get a new boot kit. Then today while I was driving the inner boots retaining band fell off. I have grease everywhere. Pass on these cv axles.

Installed this axle on my 2005 Mercedes Benz E500 w211 4Matic. I was very impressed with the quality of the part. Durable axle boots, clamps, etc. 6k miles driven since install and no issues.
