I use Red Heart yarns for my double knit hat projects as they are inexpensive and easy to work with. This yarn isn't the softest, but that's par for the course with the brand. The color is vivid and the ombre effect is decent when knitting. The color change is more abrupt when crocheting. Not the greatest yarn ever, but good for a cheap yarn.

I have noticed that some of the yarn I have purchase lately has had flaws. The yarn is either broken, or in knots. It is not with just this yarn. I guess they don't make products like they use to. Love the colors.
