Carita Swallow dripper WDC - 155 Copper 4105

After my glass Kalita fell and cracked into pieces, sprung a decent amount for this version, rationalizing the cost by saying this will last a lifetime. I am so incredibly happy I did because I did not anticipate what incredible craftsmanship and material this coffee dripper is. To know that it was made by hand, and it's bright lustrous copper body makes me want to display it proudly. It's a functional piece of art. The size of the holes are just right and the brew I make seems to be not as acidic as my glass Kalita. I probably never found the correct grind and pouring time for my glass Kalita, but the one I use for version work perfectly (about 50 grams water per 12-15 sec pour, total 250 grams water per 15.2 grams medium grind coffee using my Capresso 560.01 Infinity Burr Grinder, first pour is ~40-50 grams and let it bloom for 30 sec).

Great pour over. Took ages to arrive. Easy to use if you buy the right filters. The copper is initially very attractive, until the plating begins to rub Of with heavy use. Easy to clean. Makes fabulous coffee. You can make two cups of coffee in it, but I wouldn't recommend it, it's for single cup pour overs.

Fast delivery from Japan. Cute and lovely add to the coffee station. Functions like hario V60, which I've been using for a while. good quality and build, the rose color is stunning.

love this copper dripper. Nice finishing and wonderful design

Very light. Can bring the real taste of coffe beans. Quite good.
