I did a lot of research before I bought this clock as I was having trouble finding a clock radio that also would dock my IPhone 6. This one ticked all the boxes and more. It has 7 levels of brightness for the clock which includes completely off. It has battery backup, alarm settings for weekdays, weekends or everyday, and one really cool unexpected feature, the skip alarm function. This function allows me to press the button and it will skip the next time the alarm is to go off. After that day, it will continue as normal. This is great for holidays! When I put my phone on it, it fits easily, plenty of room for cases. They would have fixed this feature as that was the only comment that was negative as I was reading. Also, I put my phone in, it will sync and set the clock. I have also been able to set my mini iPad in the dock to charge etc. If I had to say something negative, it would be that it does not include a little remote control like my last clock, so to play music from my phone, I have to touch the phone. For me this is not a huge issue. The sound quality is good and I like how when my alarm goes on, the volume starts low and then increases to my set volume. Oh, one last thing, the buttons on the top are lightly lit too, where its brightness is set along with the time as noted before. For right now, I feel it is the best clock I have ever had! It was well worth the expense I had to take on to have it ship to my mom in the states and she ship out to me in New Zealand! Well done iHome!!

This item is pretty big, bigger than I imagined. It's pretty sleek looking and works fine in the area I have it in so the size is not too much of a big deal for me. I got the white and silver dock.I took away a star because I needed to buy an extension in order to keep my case on to charge and/or play music from. It might not matter to others but it matters to me as I don't want to keep swapping out cases just for this dock radio. You'd think this would be something companies would just know to extend by now.The sounds is pretty crisp and clear and I love that the time syncs to the phone. No more using the dial to change clocks that are either too fast or too slow. Yay! I don't use this to entertain but rather to just listen to music while I'm in the shower/getting ready so I can't speak to how loud or well this would sound if you wanted to use it when having guests over. It's loud enough for me though as I like to pump up the volume. ;)I'm able to charge my 7 and 6s at the same time with this this dock so that's a plus. I had my 7 docked while I was listening to music and my 6s was connected via the USB port in the back of this dock. Pretty neat and beats having to have 2 devices to charge my phones.It does not have Bluetooth but I wasn't looking for that as I have other Bluetooth devices. If you're looking for a charge and play dock, this is it.

Not as advertised. Overpriced for what it is. Your iPhone or iPad will not dock with this if you have a case no matter what the description says. I have the smallest bumper case on my phone and the thinest leather case on my iPad and they will not dock at all. I suggest purchasing a nicer internet radio. If you do get this, and want to use this with devices without removing the case, then make sure you purchase a docking extender.

I received my dock just over a month ago and everything worked fine for the alarm clock and charging purpose. I finally tried to use it for the purpose of playing music and my phone said that it was not a compatible accessory. Then yesterday the speaker sounded like it had water in it. The dock is on my night stand and has never come close to any drinks or water of any kind. I woke up to that horrible noise again this morning. I gave it a little tap on the speaker to see if it would correct the scratchy noise...nothing.I am extremely frustrated that the speaker wouldn't work properly after such a short amount of time especially after me not using the volume for anything other than the alarm. :-(

Great product but slightly dissappointed....Bought this for my daughter but when we tried to charge the IPad and phone discovered that the otterbox they are in for protection have to come off in order to charge devices...Box shows a case o the phone so hoping its just something I missed

Exactly what I wanted. The sound is fine for me, I am not an audiofile or whatever the term is. I just like to play some music while cleaning or doing chores, this is perfect. I have a small bluetooth soundbox that works great, but I wanted something that would connect to my phone and charge it at the same time as playing.However, this does not allow me to connect my phone with my case on, but I also use silicone vanity cases, so there's that. The controls are easy to use, I haven't used the alarm function yet though. If you are familiar with iHome clock radio systems, then you already know about the dimming factor, which I love. Right now I keep this in the kitchen and I can hear music anywhere in the house (single level 3 bed, 2 bath), and if I go into the garage to get some laundry. I waited a while to buy this item for myself, as they kept selling out of the white color, it was worth the wait!

This is a big improvement over our older model that was failing. That said, there are a few quirks. It is hard to figure out how to turn the alarm clocks on and off. It seems like the coders thought that people would set up the two alarms and leave them untouched for a long time. But that's not how we use them. Also, the buttons are all small and sort of undifferentiated in a row. When you are sleepy and trying to turn off the alarm on the way to the shower, it would be better if the button designs were better.Also, the font is hard to read. The numbers are large and the dim/bright settings are easy to get "right" so that's a plus. But a better font would have clinched the deal.

I bought two of these for our master bedroom. I received them December 22, but didn't start using them until after Christmas (one was a Xmas present for my husband). One is working great, but one of them has already stopped charging. We tried two different iPhones, mini iPad and iPad and it won't charge any of them anymore. Extremely disappointed especially for $100 It should last longer than 7 weeks.
