It's not oily and won't stain your clothes. For aches and pains this works wonders. Pour it in your hands and rub where's needed. It doesn't burn like Icy Hot

Wood alcohol is Propyl Alcohol. Ingredients : Menthol 17g, Methyl Salisylate 15g,Camphor 4.5g. Therefore the answer to your question is NO!

Q: Is this in form of medicated oil or balm ?

We use this oil on sore muscles and I use it when I get a leg cramp. We have been pleased with our purchase.
