UNOFFICIAL, self-published, insufficient info to actually prepare the recipes
DO NOT BUY THIS BOOKI completely agree with the other very helpful low-star reviews, so be sure to read those too. I don’t want to waste your time, or mine, going into all the same level of detail as the they have already done, but I too mean every word they all said.Additionally —This book is clearly NOT authorized by the Zojirushi company, which was the specific reason for my choosing it. I feel scammed by the Zojirushi company name dominating the title and cover. It is NOT professionally edited by a competent cookbook team, and is almost unusable for successful results. There is a bizarre disclaimer page by the author herself that if anything goes wrong for the reader while using her book, she is not responsible for it … ???This book is not Zojirushi specific, and indicates the reader has to determine the correct order and condition of ingredients, instead of the recipe being ready to use:“Add each ingredient to the bread machine in the order and at the temperature recommended by your bread machine manufacturer.”She lists a single set of specific measurements of ingredients for every recipe, then instructs that you “Choose the size of loaf of your preference and then measure the ingredients.” She does not indicate what size of loaf HER measurements are intended to make. There is no way at all to know which size loaf-setting to choose, and therefore cooking time is a random guess. And with only one set of measurements, you cannot alter the amounts to create a different size of loaf, as her instruction seems to mean.A lot of the recipes call for 16 slices or 12 slices, or some number of slices of bread, plus other ingredients, but has no instructions about those slices.—What kind of bread?—What size of slices?—How do you prepare the slices? Whole? Shredded? Cubed?—How do you fit all that bread AND the other ingredients into your machine?Short cooking times of 10 minutes, 15 minutes, etc, are not plausible for baking bread from scratch, even in a bread machine.“The content within this book has been derived from various sources,” she writes, yet there is no reference page or source list. This is a haphazard collection of recipes collected from unknown, uncredited sources. Most are impossible to bake successfully with only the incomplete instructions provided. This IS a recipe for ruining your bread machine.Amazon needs to give us a filter to block all these horrible self-published “cookbooks” so we can find legitimate resources that have been edited, tested, and come from trustworthy, well-qualified authors.

Overall a great to have
I recently put based this in a bundle with the bread machine. I’m don’t particularly enjoy cooking/baking but I’m more worried about my health spurring me to avoid all processed foods. While I found this re Joe book a handy addition, I’m highly disappointed that some of the terminology doesn’t match the bread machine leaving g me to guess which cycles as I learn more about my particular Zojirushi machine. It’s really odd that it claims it’s specifically for this brand but doesn’t reflect proper labels hence the 4stars. Someone who detests cooking:baking isn’t really interested in puzzling out ambiguous callouts. It’s also interesting there are many recipes calling for dry milk. But not surprising due to this being a Japanese brand.

Great book to go with the bread maker.
The recipes are quite diverse and easy to use. Lots of helpful tips as well.

Terrible Editing
There are almost no instructions on how to actually use the recipes. The recipes themselves are very sparse and poorly edited. Example: a fair number of them state that the cooking time is 10 minutes. A regular baking cycle on this machine is over an hour so its more like an hour and 10 min. Some of the recipes are just really strange. It reads more like a collection of recipes that were mailed in by random people than anything that were actually thoughtfully put together and tested.

Recipes unclear
There are a lot of recipes, most with directions for large and small loaves. The instructions are a little unclear though. Many recipes say to select the "Basic" setting but my machine has no such setting.
