Bought a different brand battery for my iPhone 7 here on Amazon just over a year and a half ago and it went from fully working to completely dead overnight with no warning. The original Apple battery lasted over 4 years. This replacement battery came with much better tools than others I have bought, including a professional style screwdriver with interchangeable tips, a well designed spunger and a pair of tweezers. Also a printed QR code that took me straight to the YouTube replacement instructions, which were very good. Regarding the excellent quality of the screwdriver tips: I had also replaced the display screen some time ago and to do it bought an expensive "pro" dedicated tri-wing driver which immediately fractured because the tip was over-hardened. These screwdriver tips seem to be "just right", not too soft so that they deform and not too hard so that they fracture. The tools are the best I've ever gotten with a battery kit. Only time will tell if it's a better battery.

don't buy this product. There are many others selling this same product. Go somewhere else. For starters, there are no instructions for installing the battery. Instead, they give you a code to scan, that takes you to the "Ifixit" site. This is not even an "Ifixit" product...they are just too cheap to give you real instructions. The site only tells you how to remove your old battery, after that, you ae on your own. Real junk. Then, after watching many youtubes that I had to find on my own, when it came time to install the waterproof display adhesive, it would not install. repeated attempts failed, after following all the best instructions available. It seems that the adhesive was old and no longer sticky. Needless to say, I have no protection for my phone from the elements. these guys are really irresponsible.

I HAVE THE BATTERY OPTIMIZATION SWITCH ALWAYS ON. I HAVE DEPLETED THIS BATTERY MANY TIMES, SOMETIMES EVEN TO THE POINT MY CELLPHONE GOES OFF AND MY EXPERIENCE WAS AND STILL IS TODAY A GOOD ONE. The kit came in good time, but the sales description specifically said that instructions are included. They are not. There is a disclaimer on the box. "It is recommended to find a professional technician." There is also the statement "You can find some instruction videos on YouTube. We also recommend that you contact our professional team. . ." but there is no information on how to contact this team.

I used to disassemble iPhone 3 and 4 but never newer phones. However by using this battery upgrade kit and following instructions its an easy job to completely. Just take your time, keep track of the screws removed and keep things clean, you should be fine. Make sure you use the right tool for each screw, the heads are small and they differ quite a bit. Everything worked well except for handling the new adhesive strips for the replacement battery. Peel off whichever plastic film is easiest to remove without lifting the strips off of the other film. Once you've positioned the strips on the case of the iPhone, it is much easier to gently remove the other film covering the adhesive strips without disturbing the strips themselves.
