Will this make my nails stronger underneath?

Yes- my nails are happy I switched from acrylics (last 12 years) to this— it’s easier to remove, so less damage there- also- I no longer file my nail bed to prep— less damage there. I do a light yellow buff block super quick to prep. I have wayyy healthier nails again. Sometimes I remove the structure gel and leave them bare a day or two- which I was NEVER able to do because they would all break to the quick. I also sculpt nails long every other time with a nail form- just flash cure the product 10 seconds to get it to not move while building layers. I’m ready to toss all my other nail products- I get 3 weeks out of these manicures and usually want a change before anything has to happen! Once you learn how to work with this product you will be sold!

HEMA is just another monomer. The first ingredient is the “safer” contained form of HEMA - DiHEMA. What you want to avoid is the free floating HEMA, which is a larger molecule that if touches the skin when uncured, can leech into the blood and cause a possible allergic reaction. If HEMA is listed in the middle it’s a lower concentration - 20-30% If it’s listed at the bottom then it’s trace amounts. All these UV gels have chemicals that can cause a reaction. Do your own research and figure out what to avoid and look for. People are acting like all forms and concentrations of HEMA will harm you and that isn’t entirely accurate

Can I use this by itself and cure with lamp without dehydrator, builder and top coat?

So; you could.. but why would you? Also, this is builder so maybe you meant base? It doesn't need base. It won't adhere without your nails being dry from the dehydrator or alcohol; then primed with primer or bonder. Also will look like crap without top coat. Lol... this is not the product for you if you plan on skipping the most important steps. You'll spend all that time doing your nails for them to pop off next day.

How long would I have to cure if I use a 36w lamp?

30 seconds in LED lamp 1 minute in UV lamp. Wattage means how much power the lamp consumes to function. Wattage has nothing to do with the light bulb that is needed to cure gel products. Note: all gel products cure with a tacky layer (unless it is written on the bottle tack free) if you cure in your lamp for the recommended time and the gel wipes off the nail then the light bulbs in your lamp are not the correct bulbs to cure gel. So a 36w lamp will trun on but with the wrong bulbs it will not cure.

My favorite tried and true!

I am a licensed nail tech. This brand is always reliable. This set is done with the sheer pink on my natural nails. It's a semi hard builder which I can soak off easily, but gives strength like hard gel. I use on myself and clients with natural nails and extensions. There is no lifting and no damage even after my nails were 1 month overgrown without a refill. Second set was on my client's natural nails which she grew from nubs to get to that length with this ibd gel. Proper nail prep is key. The negative reviews are from people inexperienced with gels. PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELVES BEFORE USING GELS AND GIVING YOURSELF DAMAGE AND ALLERGIES!!! This self levels pretty quick so you also have to be quick. Do one at a time and flash cure a few seconds to hold it in place. Apex building is easy. I love the translucent jelly pink color. You can see the sheerness in the square nail photo. It gives a flush of color to the nailbed. It's like your nails, but better kind of color. A no makeup "makeup" for your nails! Also, if it isn't curing properly then it means A.) Your lamp isn't atleast 48 watts. B.) Your coat is too thick especially if it's a more opaque color such as the white one. OR C.) You received a defective product. All of which can be true. I fully stand by this gel though. I've used ibd brand as a diy-er when I was a young aspiring tech and now as a licensed nail tech. *Last photo are of my natural nails with just the builder on. Even shiny without topcoat. Builds nice Apex for strength and durability. If you do it right there is no need for much filing on top! I did none at all. The sheer pink is gorgeous.
