The book is more about habits than anxiety. Here you go more filler words so that I can post this.

The only book u want for anxiety
Might be slow in the beginning but give it a chance and ur time. One of the books that helped me most with my anxiety but remember to put in the effort and patience

Very pragmatic approach with many examples from Jud Brewer's research. It is indeed amazing how helpful the combination of Skinner's approach of "operant conditioning" and an attitude of awareness is, for analysing one's own habit loops, whether it is anxiety, unhealthy eating behaviours, procrastination or other phenomena. I find the combination of scientific research and Buddhist tradition highly interesting and effective.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” "“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." This book essentially explains these 2 statements in depth (without of course referring to the Bible - perhaps because the author arrived at this info independent or wants to keep the secular crowd happy, etc). Loads of backed up research and inspiring examples, a treasure trove of info for those wanting to get on top of their anxiety and health/wellbeing/mindfulness in general. I loved his low-key take on meditation - didn't feel burdensome or new-age, just sensible practical medical advice that really seems to help. Minor gripe: the author keeps going on about the app which seems a bit overpriced and flakey, but thankfully you can ignore the app stuff and still get a LOT out of this book. It's very well grounded in real data - it reminded me of Body Keeps the Score, and not new age mumbo jumbo like a lot of books these days but based on real lived experience/anecdotes. For £10 it's a steal as the knowledge/tips here will return dividends far in excess of that value.
