Great knee protection
They fit perfect on me. I would not ride my ebike without them even riding on pavement. You go down and you want protection, and these provide it.

Excellent product! Stays in place throughout my shift, and fits perfectly under my pants leg.

Mountain bike knee pads
I bought these because they look beefy and the company seems to specialize in active armor. I gave them Four stars because I measured myself and chose the correct pads. They work okay but they tend to slide down and I have to stop every few hundred yards to pull them up. They don't stay where I want them. I'm wondering now if I should've gone a size down. Not a bad product. This is my first set of knee pads and I have limited experience with others.

Easily My Favorite Pads!
First, for context, I didn't start mountain biking until age 50. I ride green to blue trails (beginner to intermediate) and I get my bike off the ground fairly often. I ride roughly 25 days a month in varied weather; more than half of my rides are not on trails.I've been through 4 different sets of knee pads and these are *by far* my favorite. I'll explain why.First, they are comfortable enough to ride in all day. They don't distract nor do they restrict my movement. Perhaps the second most important feature in any knee pad is comfort as a rider is less likely to wear a bulky/itchy/uncomfortable pad.Next is the most important feature: protection. I've crashed (not a whole lot but more than often enough) in these and other pads and these protect me better than any others. The key I believe is the material which is flexible but stiffens on impact.I own shin guards from G-Form as well to protect against my flat pedals digging into my shins. Compared to the other shin guards I've used (held over from soccer and Lacrosse) I can totally vouch for how much better those are at protecting my shins vs. metal SPIKED pedals. The same is true for these knee pads. Please don't think these pads will *completely* absorb the impact and you'll feel *nothing*; I've still been very aware of getting knocked on a knee or shin. However my skin and bone have been very well protected (not much more than a scratch!) and the pain I may have felt was greatly lessened. The difference between the X-3 vs. the X-2 pads I have is really comfort. There is an additional level of comfort padding that rests between the actual pad and your skin, so it does feel better. Additionally, the grip these pads is superior to the X-2. The X-2 has a thin rubber strip that can go/tear over time. I find the X-3 which has a wider gripper that's integrated into the pad to be a better solution. The fabric of the pad also appears to be a higher quality. These pads can be washed in the washing machine and laid out to dry.If you're looking for a pad that combines great protection with all-day wear, this is your pad.

(1st UPDATE) Very good protection for the money!
Read updates. I added an extra star (now 5) for protection and durability.I bought the knee and elbow pads together, mostly for coverage and how well they fit. I spent months comparing and finding the least bulky pad I could. I've never worn pads before so I knew this would be an adjustment for me. Upon my first ride I knew the pads were there, especially during the climbs but become a quick memory as I forgot they were there. After a few rides they feel like second skin, hardly noticeable. Once on and placed where I wanted them, they didn't move, rotate or slip. (UPDATE) Still an awesome pad! I have a few hundred miles with them now. Sure all the logos have peeled off but I'm over that now. I had a nasty crash not too long ago in a rocky section, pads did their job very well and with no damage to the pads (meaning no replacement), which is more than I can say for my helmet, new helmet review already posted.(UPDATE) All the stitching is holding and now instead of wearing the pads only when I ride techy stuff I wear them 100% of the time as I have made the switch to clipless pedals (review on those too posted), pads add a sense of security as I continue to traverse the chunky stuff. One last note on fit, the weather is turning cold and the pads become very stiff (it is a type of memory foam) when cold and the knees slip down a bit until they warm up. Lastly, I wear a base layer under my jersey, the elbows slide over the base layer but do need to be pulled up every handful of miles as they slide down the arm. The grippy rubber holds well on bare skin but not fabrics.
