Stanley Proto J5407A 1/2" Drive Slotted Screwdriver Bit Socket, 7/16"

Worked great removing old rusted screws!
Needed to remove four old rusty screws on a wheelbarrow that has sat outside for more than 10 years. Was not able to remove them by hand, even using an open-end wrench on the screwdriver's square shank for leverage. Ordered this bit, put it on an impact wrench, and was able to remove all four screws, nice! As others have pointed out, the bit is a little thicker than described. I did not grind down the bit, but instead lightly hammered the bit into some of the screwhead slots. Anyways, worked great, and I'm sure it will come in handy in the future!

Perfect after a little fine tuning
Needed this to fix an espresso machine. Had to grind the tip a bit to fit the screw head, but it’s wide enough and it did the job.

This is the one to buy for outboard motor lower oil changes
Had to file it a bit to get it to fit Yamaha lower end oil drain screw.

When you need it nothing else will do
Worked to remove brake drums from large trucks

A very good, extremely expensive, tool
I will most likely own this tool for the rest of my life. I can tell that the material is some form of hardened steel, and it has a solid heft to it.I have no idea why it costs so much. It just does.

Dimension description is for a J5407, NOT a J5407a
The description for this item is actually for the Stanley Proto J5407. The blade tip thickness is NOT .050...it is .070. It is a great screwdriver bit socket BUT it will not fit many of the things that a 7/16" wide bit is needed for....it is too thick for the slot.

High quality tool.
High quality tool, used with torque wrench, won't strip out your slotted screws.
