not of big fan of Petco myself, but the bedding is wonderful! Soft with small chips and almost zero dust which is the important part. I was a long time shopper of small pet select but over the last year their quality control has gone waaaaay down and their customer service seems to care very little, simply saying oh well we're still training... oh wow how good of you to inspect your pets hay so well. Just being smart.. So now I switched, their bedding was getting to be way to dusty. This brand here is wonderful =)

The quality of the bedding is great and it controls odors, when cleaning cages it’s easy to dump out and refill.

I was very happy with the amount of bedding I got, and I personally don’t think it smells if I spot clean weekly. The shavings themselves vary a lot in size, which some chunks half the size of my syrian. I don’t know how to tell if bedding has excess dust, but as someone with asthma I sneezed A LOT while putting it in the enclosure, so I imagine it’s not very dust-free. I can’t speak for how well burrows hold, because my hamster doesn’t burrow in it, whether that’s because of his older age or that it’s not good to burrow in, I’m not sure. It’s not very soft, so I bought some paper bedding to mix with it, which worked well. Would buy again, but I’m definitely mixing it 50/50 with a paper bedding next time.

A family member uses this product in their RV. He thought it would help with the dog poopy bucket that smells. It definitely worked. We put a scoop of this product in the bucket and it reduced the stink. Lol! I would get it again.

This product is great! We have a Guinea pig (that is mostly litter box trained), and the bedding makes everything stay fresh longer. I won’t even consider other products after this one. Paired with the so phresh litter…great combo!

I use this bedding both for my small outdoor cat barn and nest boxes for two layer hens. I keep the bedding in small aluminum cans with lids to make scooping it out and storing it easy for me. I use both rakes and kitty litter cleaning tools to clean the bedding. I find that this bedding is light and easy to spread for both comfort and warmth as well as for soil cover where rain can affect small areas.

I have been using this product for years. I have pet ducks and they spend their winters in a warm garage. I have a little pen for them in there and these wood chips are the perfect bedding to keep them warm and comfortable.

I specifically have to use Aspen shavings, and this bag lasts me quite a while for my animals. Low dust as well too. (I only use this for litter pans, not for filling entire cage bottoms.)
