Great game, can be played with younger children, great for maths skills.
This is a brilliant game, nice and quick (perhaps 15 mins?) and lots of fun. My 4 year old and I play it all the time. I would say it's his favourite at the moment. I offer occasional suggestions about domino placement, but he is mostly fine on his own. I don't intentionally make daft moves (but neither do I seriously strategise), and I usually win but not by much. A couple of comments for those playing with small children:1. This is BRILLIANT for surreptitious maths skills. Each round you have to place four randomised dominos (nos 1-48) in size order, teaching place value. Your score is calculated as number of crowns x number of tiles, teaching simple multiplication. And then you have to add up those scores at the end. I write the sums on a piece of paper for him to cement it, and scribe the answers he tells me.2. The game tiles need to be in a 5 x 5 grid ( or 7 x 7 for a longer 2 player game). This is a little abstract for my son. and he occasionally needs reminders to make sure it isn't more than 5 up or across, and also to help him not end up with single 'holes' in his grid.Overall, super game.

Great quick game!
I had my doubts about how good this would be, as I wondered how you can really build on dominoes. Having played it several times now, I'm pleased to say that other than having to match up the pieces it's not really anything like dominoes at all, there are a nice few mechanisms going on that make this a really fun game. I would say that although it may be suitable for kids to play, this can be a good challenge for adults and allows for a some degree of strategy to be experimented with. Games are relatively quick and you will immediately want to play again to try out different strategies. It's a great little game. The only negative for me was having to build the little castles and the cardboard being a bit fiddly to press out which resulted in slight damage, which is annoying.

Fun. Strategic. And good maths practice.
Between my 7 year-old boy and me this is our favourite table game. There is a good mix of strategy and luck. A good player will normally beat a bad player, but a middling player can beat the good player with a bit of luck. There's plenty of strategy to think about too. Which tile do you want next? Where do you play the tile in your hand? Where will you play the next tile? Do you need to take a tile to stop your opponent's strategy? You can play this to several levels. Then there's the maths. Multiplying and adding to get your score is all good mental maths practice. My son enjoys playing and enjoys adding up the scores as well.Thoroughly recommended.

5 year old and I love this
Domino's with a clever twist... My son got this for his 5th birthday and it has quickly become his favourite game. You visit worlds by taking one of 4 face up dominoes and trying to match to your tiles. If it matches, you pick an egg from the matching colours. This is where my son gets excited... 1point if you hatch a dragon, none if your egg is empty but you get to take the mummy dragon piece. This means it's always a win win which is a nice touch. If you match more than one picture in a go, you get to reveal more eggs so nice strategy included.. At the end of each round, you get 4 more dominoes to choose from - it lasted 6 rounds for us which was a great length to have "one more game".Definitely recommend... Good quality pieces and a good quality game.

Cracking game
This really is a fantastic game. Easy to learn but can get quite strategic when you've played a few games. Pieces are very thick quality board (almost too thick!) and the illustrations are simply gorgeous. I love spotting the little details. Very quick games as well, especially 2 player, we rattle off a couple of games while waiting for tea to cook. Couldn't recommend more highly. Shares some similarities with Carcasonne, but much quicker, easier and fun!
