Dr. Hemsworth covers all of the material here that any General Chem I and II college student will need to know - everything from basic dimensional analysis to stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and kinetics. I would not use it as a stand alone text, but as a supplement to lectures and textbook materials, it is very useful. For the price and the amount of material covered, it is an excellent value.

Although this book is a concise study guide I learned from it at least the basic concepts of general chemistry. It provides the subject of chemistry in a very simple way which is suitable for those who find it a difficult subject to learn like me. This is why I consider this book is a very good study guide for those who want to learn about chemistry.

This is ok, this is a good addition to your knowledge already but do not go with this book if youre in class.

I dont know why amazon sell this piece of garbage. Dont get me wrong, the information is pretty good, but the printing, paper and figures are junk. It seems to me that they took those pictures with a 1990 cellphone. The resolution is very very low. wait for the 2nd edition in my opinion.
