I used it with a fifth grader who found it both enjoyable and challenging. Review: Good - I have been very please with this. It has good instructions and example for the students. It also builds up the difficulty leading up to a big review. And as you go through the book, it offers reviews that have each type of analogy that has been covered up to that point.

Boosts confidence to solve analogies
I bought this for my 3rd grade daughter. She loved this book as it helped her understand solving the analogies a lot better with examples easy to follow. Wish it had some more pages though. Nonetheless definitely worth buying for kids not comfortable with analogies. A good book.

Definitely teaches the basic concepts
I’m giving 5 stars because it did teach my child there are differences in analogies (antonyms/synonyms , homophones , parts of a whole...etc) before the book the popular thought was all analogies were synonym/synonym or something!

Great practice book
This is a great way to practice something that your children will see on the SATs. Analogies have been used forever but there are few ways to practice these in advance. What is wrong with training yourself to be able to see the patterns? Good test prep.

not much to it
I purchased this book to help my son prep for the SCAT. It was ok I wish it had more to it. The book only has about 20 pgs.

Wonderful!
I have used this in my class weekly to help my students with their vocabulary and their critical thinking. I am amazed at how well both have improved. Wonderful resource!!

We all loved this ages 11 - 65.
This is nicely done, easy to use, and just challenging enough. I recommend this book for kids through middle school. (My 14 year old found it challenging. I don't think he was introduced to analogies in school.)
