This is nice. There wasn’t any smell or anything off on mine. The pages do seem a little more fragile than I expected. They feel like the big Chief grade school pads we had when we were in first and second grade - - don’t know if they still make those (I’m 68😜) The leather is nice and it had extra protection on the front edge of the papers to protect it. The leather color is beautiful. The photos show the protection paper for the edges and how the different sections are secured as well as how the book looks closed. I am very happy with this. I didn’t try writing in it yet, plan to buy a quilled Pen and ink to write quotes, expressions and inspirational thoughts in it.

This journal was perfect. The antique type paper was so cool..my husband loved the feel and look and was overjoyed. Really worth every penny!

Better than the photos. Larger than you think. The strap/key is perfectly fitted for the journal. Smells like fresh leather, 240 pages is more than you think in your head, especially with the page size. Best journal I’ve ever had in terms of quality has a handmade appearance and feels high quality on the fingers.

I bought this for my wife as a gift. It made her cry because she said it was too special for her writings. I can’t speak to how it holds ink, but it is a beautiful journal. The cover is very soft and thick leather. The pages are thick and durable, but also soft. It’s well constructed with a good weight to it. Overall a great value with a ton of pages. This thing looks super cool. People will ask about it, want to open it, and be jealous that they don’t have one.

This lined, leather journal / book has exceeded my expectations. My favorite .05 extra fine point pen writes smoothly on these vintage pages! This was my biggest worry, but the tip doesn't catch one little bit...smooooth. You will not be disappointed! P.S. I am one of those people who NEEDS lines so this was awesome that the pages have lines!

This is a great journal. The perfect size for my camera bag. The quality is great; I love the lines pages as well as the leather cover. The overall quality is first rate. I would highly recommend it!!!

This is a really cool journal! I bought this to write notes, letters, talk about my day, and whatever else for my fiancé to read when I get home from travel gigs. The leather and the stitching is done really well and the paper is awesome. Sharpie roller pens work really well on the paper and don't bleed through, so I can use both sides to maximize usage. The 1 star lost is because the wrap around cord is too long. There's way too much slack in it, so it tends to come undone. When I get home from this gig, I'm gonna cut it and redo the key attachment so that it's a tight fit and won't come undone. Other than that, I love this thing!

Definitely a great journal I'm not sure if the leather is real or not but the quality of the leather is good and hold up. The closure works great on it. The functionality overall is great. There is no bleed through with the paper from page to the other. The cool gives you that old antique look and feel.

Feels good and compact. Have yet to try writing on it.. hopefully it is a start of a beautiful journey with this journal.. the leather feels good and the pages look awesome ...

It looks exactly as described and in the pictures. I love writing in it and the vintage look!
