My daughter loves Shimmer and Shine and this was in her reading level. She enjoyed the story, which was assisted by the images. The texts are short and simple and ideal for early readers to gain confidence. These stories can be read in one sitting, so they remain interesting. I usually have my daughter read them more than once over a week if I see she has difficulty with any of the words.

I didn't realise this would be American spellings and my daughter got confused by 'colors' which was everywhere in the book. She'll probably spell it wrong at school now. It's a shame as you would expect it to be UK spelling if buying in the UK.

Smaller than it looks, for the price expect better quality paper.

Book was very interesting. Kept granddaughters attention, she likes having it read to her. Very colorful pictures.
