High quality and a great price!
I bought these punches to repair two nylon braided leashes that our precious chocolate lab chewed up. Interesting that she chewed the handle part of the strap... but anyway I could've bought a new leashes for 18 bucks but I just didn't want to throw these two leashes in the garbage since there was still plenty strap left. I punched two holes in the strap and made two handles, one for each strap. I bought some #4 screws, washers and nuts and screwed them up and now I have two working leashes again. The punches were 4.99, the screws and washers were about 2 bucks and I still have more in case the little darling destroys it again. They worked perfectly on the nylon cutting a very clean hole. They seem high quality, very sharp and will probably last a long time in my opinion... I highly recommend.

Good Set of Punches for Leatherwork
These punches get the job done, but the metal is a little soft....so don't hit them too hard, when working on a piece of leather. I made several archery tabs with these leather punches.

Clean holes, professional results
I am so glad I chose these over the squeeze type rotational hole maker. I saw some comments about how challenging they can be to use. This was my first time using a belt hike maker and could not be happier with the results. Be prepared to do some tapping with a hammer and make sure you are on a surface you will not damage. I did it in a countertop with a small notebook under it so as not to chip the counter. The most challenging part will be lining up the holes. Making the holes is easy. You will be doing some tapping. But I was also being cautious not to damage the marble countertop. If you are on a nice solid work bench you may be able to just give it two or three good sacks.Place the hole punch on the good side of the belt. Here is a a tip on how zI got the holes lined up:Get several thumb tacks and place them in the holes already there with points facing up. Get a piece of paper and line up the edge to the edge of your belt and press so that you make a perfect template of exactly the positioning of holes. Then move the paper down with the edge lined up to she of your belt. Place the paper over the last two thumbtacks yo keep it stable then use a pen to mark out the spots on the paper where the thumbtacks made holes. (I hope this all made sense). Now you know exactly there the new holes should be! I made these marks on the underside of the belt but you do not have to. Then I took a utility knife and twisted it around and around over the pen mark till it just whet through the belt. This did not make the hole I wanted but it did go through to make a pinpoint on the good side of the belt so I knew exactly where to make my holes. But you can just use the template paper to mark your holes with pen on the good side. Just of course be careful not to slip and make an off mark, especially if the belt is light color. The process was actually easy and kinda fun!

Not As Sharp as Neded
They could be a lot sharper and make it tough to punch through a belt thickness of 3/32".

A Poster Product of Low Quality
If Amazon represents low quality, this might be one poster product. The marketing drawings of product are perfectly drawn to deceive reality.1. The machining of the cutting edges is rough.2. The punches have sharp edges on the cleanouts that are uncomfortable to handle.3. Some of the back end of the punches are sharp.4. The steel and/or heat treatment of the punches is questionable since the punches do not hold their edge when punching plastic on a wood back board. To verify the low quality, and deceptiveness, a label on the product package even says Grade B!Unfortunately, trusted that at least the steel would be good, and before using spent time cleaning up all the ergonomics-related sharp edges. Is it worth trying to return them now? For attendance to quality, they are worthy of the trash can. One of most disappointing purchases at Amazon in past ten years.
