A quality BCAA for every athlete.
Taste: 5/5I've been using Vintage Build's Essential 3 in 1 BCAA's for about 5 months now. The first big win I noticed is it does not have sugar added. For me, having a super clean diet 7 days a week then using a workout supplement that has sugar is a tough pill to swallow. Vintage Build BCAAs do have stevia as the first ingredient in their formula, but its is much preferred to sugar. Having taken a BCAA for months with sugar (sucralose) - as the only form of sugar I have I soon develop cravings for more sugar. Something I tried to eliminate entirely. Vintage Builds BCAA's taste about as close to "Mixed Berries" as mixed berry flavor can taste, and doesn't leave a filmy aftertaste that some BCAA's do. Some pre-workouts, and BCAA's have a super sweet or "punchy" chemical taste (for lack of a better description). VB is the first product that literally tastes free from unnatural ingredients.Recovery: 5/5I do a combination of weight training and marathon running so I was happy to read that VB's formula is built around muscle quality (not quantity) and minimal recovery time with improved performance. My pattern over the past five months has been to use one and a half scoops with 12 -25 oz of water when I lift weights. Then I'll use another scoop later in the day with 12 oz of water. I typically lift 6 days a week. When I run I will mix two scoops with 30 oz of water and consume 15 minutes after my run. I run 4 days a week - one day being a long run day (13-26 miles). Two things to note since I've started using BCAA's - 1. its been a while since I've been muscle sore after a workout or run. 2. I'm not exhausted on the days I do long runs after my workout. In the past, I would have to stay out of the gym on my long run days. Also, with VB I have been able to run 24 hours after my long run and not feel muscle fatigue or slower performance in my legs.Muscle Definition: 5/5This is a tough area to rate. I do take other supplements and whey protein so its hard to see where the gains are with just this product. One thing is true - since taking VB I have had more endurance and faster recovery times which equates to spending less time recovering and more time training. This has directly affected my physique and I'm about as low in body fat percentage as I have ever been.I wanted to wait a few months before writing my review of this product since it can be difficult to make a real assessment in less time. Also, most athletes use BCAA's in conjunction with other workout supplements and noting gains might take more time. It's my experience that this BCAA has been a great compliment to my workout / training schedule and I have already had a Marathon personal record (Boston Qualified in Nov '14) since being on it and am lifting as much/more than I ever have been. Which is tough for runners to lift heavy since we lose so much weight/muscle running long distances. If taken at value - Old Schools motto of muscle quality over quantity seems to hold true here.If you follow the usage directions and workout and/or train aggressively you will go through 1 container in about a month. I'm on my 4th order of VB (since the 5 months ago I started) and would invest in a larger size container for more if it were available. With that said, I have not had a negative experience with this product, and their customer service is top-notch. Eric at Old School checks in with me regularly after I order this BCAA to see how I like it.Old School has developed a good/clean product in their BCAA and athletes who like a natural product should definitely check this out.I'm eager to see what other products Old School Labs will be putting out and will be ordering their 3-in-1 BCAA formula again.

Awesome Company Awesome Product!
I want to rate my experience with OSL products and the company itself!I originally ordered Vintage Blast in late October. Five stars on everything! Only problem is that I noticed myself getting dizzy and a bit nauseous later in the day. After playing with every variable I could think of, I reached out to OSL to talk about the issue. Within a day Steve contacted me, and we both decided that instead of a refund I would try Vintage Build. Steve was great, super friendly (even through email), and was understanding while fully endorsing OSL. I made it clear that I felt like I was definitely in the minority of people having a negative side-effect from an OSL product and was eager to make something work.Vintage Build arrived! Here's my story.....Wow. Just Wow.Something that might be specifically helpful:First: I work hard. I work 10-11 hour days laying patios or landscaping in the cold or the heat. It's often brutal and as I've aged it's become more difficult to mentally be able to say "I'm not tired I can still lift" at the end of each day.Second: I'm 5'10", 35years old, and at the time of starting Build I was 235lbs which is unacceptable to me. Ideally I should be 210-215.Third: As someone from an obesity/diabetes/cancer prevalent family, I try to monitor how I can build muscle and not bulk.So...back to "WOW"....Wow!Here's how I do it: I consume a full serving of build. In the morning I mix half the serving, and a teaspoon of creatine/teaspoon of beta-alanine into 64oz of water (vacuum insulated bottle). I consume that throughout the day. If I finish it (usually do), I just refill with water only. When I leave work, I change/wash up and get to the gym, work out and go home, consume the other half a Build serving in 20 oz of water cut in lemon juice and some cranberry juice with a separate protein shake (I add the juice to get the carb intake a little higher to facilitate absorption). Them I refill a 20oz bottle with water and 1-2 table spoons of apple cider vinegar to get my blood sugar to drop as low as possible when I get to sleep. I also take fish oil and 8000iu's of D3 in the morning. Results:Mental: Fantastic. I mean I feel as motivated to get to the gym as I did when I was 25. Build has literally given me my edge back. I know when I get into the weight room that I can face challenges and have a chance to succeed.Physical: At the time of starting build I was 235. I am now 221 when I weigh in, in the morning. I have lost close to 15lbs, BUT I have put an inch on my arms, 2" on my chest. All of my exercises have exploded. I cannot go too heavy on flat bench anymore because of an old shoulder injury, but with build I am able to rep 225 for 5x12 confidently.Overall OSL is a fantastic company! Using your products has played a HUGE part of literally reshaping my approach to health and fitness in my life. Cannot thank you guys enough. Cut season is coming! Let's see what I can do about losing more weight with diet approach.

Hard to scoop out
Great product, but I don't have big hands but its hard to scoop out when it gets half way done. Wish it had a longer handle scoop or a bigger opening.
