I don't write many reviews but I when I read the many reviews that rated this low due to taste, I had to respond. Herb Pharm is a great company that produces quality products. I've been taking this particular product for as long as they've been producing it. It works. Within 20 minutes of taking it, I'm relaxed and able to fall asleep. It gives me about 4 hours straight which is really good for me. Does it taste terrible? It doesn't taste good but after the many years of consuming this product, I take it straight and then take a sip of water. No big deal. But you can certainly put it in juice if the taste is too strong for you. It's an herbal extract made with alcohol, herbs and glycerin. That's it. Nothing else. And that's what it tastes like. Certified organic, ethically sourced, produced with quality production and oversight and gluten free. I couldn't want better. It's not supposed to taste good! It's supposed to work and it does! I bought the 4 ounce bottle 3.75 years ago and it still has another one year to go for the out date. Regarding expiration, you would likely use it more quickly than I have, so I would not worry about buying a 4 ounce bottle. So I have used this for over a decade and it works very well and it’s pretty quick acting. It has never bothered my stomach. It doesn’t have the sometimes lingering grogginess that melatonin can cause me. i’m not up-to-date on the research on the individual herbs anymore, but I don’t believe any of these are habit forming. You will have to look them up yourself or inquire of the company.

This product tastes absolutely terrible but I did take it because I need to get to sleep doesn't work at all I took triple dose I would not recommend it to anyone cost too much money and does not work

Works well for me, better than other sleep remedies I’ve tried.
