It's a really hard plastic. Works great on asphalt, grass, gravel, and any surface. Since I've purchased the kick stand pad I've used it a lot and I'm very happy with the product.

Hi, there is a hole drilled in one side so you can attach a tether. Paracord is a popular choice. When you park, just loop the loose end of the string around your handlebar or some other part of your bike, and then when you are ready to go, just sit your bike up straight, pull the kickstand pad up with the string, and voila! easy as pie! a tether Also has the additional bebefitof helping to make sure you remember to pick it up!

Q: can i get it with the lettering in baby blue i.e. Dodger Blue?
