My brother received this item as a Christmas gift and was giddy with delight. He already has the Maitlin the Magician coin bank replica, so now he'll have the beginning of a collection.

Bought as a unique gift for a 15 year old boy, but on seeing it in action, gave to an 8 year old instead. This bank has a very simple coin drop from hand to slot and a modest tip of the hat. The trip handle for the hand drop takes less than a quarter turn. I'd recommend this for under 8 year olds and not for collectors of any age. Too elementary although the bank is attractively done.

Well made. Solid. Beautifully hand painted, to the best of my knowledge. Such detail! And it works! A fun bank that is a real conversation starter in my kind hubby's Man Cave.... Of which I am his favorite guest, believe it or not!! After 35 years of joyful marriage!! Amazing, I know!!!! :-)

Looks good but does not work very well. The dog is not in line with the coin slot.

I am gifting this to my brother to replace a couple of cast iron toys and a bank we had as kids. Sometimes life takes things but being able to give a similar replacement to make joy fill a loved one’s heart is wonderful! The price was so reasonable and that brought me even more joy!

My young grandson loves cars and trucks. This well made mechanical bank of a man changing a tire is a perfect way to help introduce my grandson to saving a penny. Each coin smoothly drops into the hole as the mechanic moves the tire (coin sits in circle of tire) towards the old Ford Model A. I get giggles from my grandson.
