Good product for a good price. Tastes the same as the organic ginger I let dry and grated myself in the past. Love putting this in my coffee along with some nutmeg and cinnamon for an earthy flavor and adaptogenic properties that aid in digestion ☕️ Helps my wonky stomach and tastes delicious

This stuff is POTENT. I have never purchased a bag yet that wasn’t eye-wateringly fresh! Anthony’s tends to be a good company. I have a twitchy system, and so I tend to use a lot of ginger to try and soothe down gas and upset innards. This is a lot cheaper than the tiny little bottles and usually better quality (by which I mean I have purchased little bottles that were as sharp, but not on a regular basis.) I put a teaspoon, or more, or less, depending, in as little water as possible to make it liquid, take a very deep breath, make sure my will is up to date and toss it back as fast as I can. If you do it right you can swallow before the shuddering reaction hits. It. Is. Not. Pleasant. But it works. It’ll take around a hour to fully work, but it settles gas and pain in the stomach and lower intestines, although if you take too much your stomach will burn. It also, of course, makes excellent pumpkin pie and ginger cookies! You might have to put the bag in another plastic bag to keep it airtight, because the little zip at the top tends to gather powder and stop sealing. But that’s easy to do.

First a heads up: If you stir this into a carbonated beverage, it will foam up and overflow, so leave room for rising in your glass or cup. I've used this two ways: 1) brewed it like coffee in my coffeemaker and 2) stirred some of the powder into beverages. I wasted a lot trying to brew it as it would not let much hot water drip through. I might try that again, but with only with a very small amount of the powder. I saved whatever dripped through and now add a teaspoon or two of this liquid to my bottled "Ginger Ale" (so-called because it no longer has real ginger in it). It boosts the flavor and spices it up a bit. I tried this when I had an upset stomach and it calmed queasy symptoms down very quickly, just like old time Ginger Ale used to. Its easier to just stir in a teaspoon of the raw powder into your drink, but if you don't drink it right down it starts to settle on the bottom. No problem if you stir it intermittently with a straw.

Great aroma and flavor. Consistent size particles in the seasoning. This is exactly what I expect if I were to buy ginger seasoning in a grocery store.

Anthony's is my favorite brand for herbs and spices. They always arrive fresh. This ground ginger root is very fragrant and great quality. Bright yellow color as it should be. Great texture. Works great in recipes. Really happy with the quality. Highly recommend this brand!

This is a lovely aromatic ground ginger. Has a fresh zingy flavour, nothing like the harsh one note supermarket ginger that I am used to. I purchased this ground ginger for health reasons. Also, the message under the pouch made me laugh. So far I made a delicious hot drink and plan to use the ginger regularly in my cooking.

This is a re-buy. I make homemade ginger beer and this is my preferred brand. I've tried many, the best warrant 3 stars, so you can understand why I stop making the brew if I can't buy this brand. Out of stock is my greatest brewing fear.
