I didn't expect these to do anything but thought they were worth a try. But I've noticed a big reduction in pain and swelling which I'm very pleased with. However, they are awful to swallow. I have no issue taking tablets, and take some which are twice the size of these without any problems, but these are almost impossible to swallow without them sticking. It's not the size, they're not that big, it's the texture. It's like trying to swallow powdery chalk. They have little or no coating and they stick to the tongue and throat. I snap them in half to make it easier but they still get stuck. I use plenty of water, and take several pills at the same time, but these I have to take in individual halves, even then I have choked on them a couple of times. I wish they'd coat them. As it is I find them to be a choking hazard. I want to continue using them for the pain relief benefits but I'm not sure I can. I do recommend them for pain relief, but beware, especially if you have issues swallowing pills.

The tablet ingredients are good but the tablet itself is rough and difficult to swallow and overpowered by ginger. I had to take with yoghurt or soft eggs or a smoothie to help it down. I started noticing I was getting heartburn on the odd occasion and wondered if it was the ginger. I left the tablets off for a week and the occasional heartburn vanished. I have decided to restart the tablets and my heartburn has started again. These tablets need a coating. Although I have noticed an improvement in my pain levels I will not be purchasing these tablets again due to the ginger.

Firstly ... I love this combo. It hits three of my everyday takes, supplement wise. But ..and it's a biggy... they are horrible to swallow. Powdery, stick in the throat with an instant fizzy and fiery ginger burn. I have never ever gagged on any of my... numerous.. other supplement tablets, and some are obscenely large. I gag on these at least once a week... I actually feel anxious before taking them, they are that bad to swallow!! Now ... if these were coated in an easy swallow or sugar-coated, these would hit 5 stars all round for me. Such a shame. I have cancelled my S&S... such a shame.

I'm not a fan of taking supplements but decided to give these a try after reading the reviews. I have arthritis in both proximal thumb joints and my right hip joint. After taking the supplement for almost a month I'm aware that the mobility of the thumb joints is improving and the pain and swelling is a bit less than it was. I'm also feeling a little less niggling from my hip joint but it is still early days. The tablets are quite large and I find it best to break them in half, though that releases a bit more of the ginger taste which I like but may not appeal to other users. I also find it easier to take them with kefir as the thicker liquid tends to make them easier to swallow. This could be a solution for some folk who report difficulty swallowing them but would not be suitable for vegan users (though the tablets are OK for vegans!) unless they could find a non-dairy version. Yoghurt may also be a possibility to aid swallowing the tablets. I've ordered another four months supply so will hopefully be able to add a positive update to my review later this year.
