I don't use this often because I have another light. I've only used it maybe 2-3 times for an hour or two at a time. Longevity, it doesn't work anymore. It's not super sturdy that's why I use my bigger light so often. Having it broken less then two months later....not worth the money at all.

The only thing that loves this basking lamp more than I do is my little turtle! He loves it! I am really pleased with the purchase of this reptile heat lamp. Extra UVA and UVB lamps are included with the purchase. This is very good value for money in my opinion. Prompt shipping. Arrived on time and in great condition. Happy customer!

I love this little light. Was given a little Musk Turtle in the fall. I have no real suitable place for him through the winter so I am only keeping him comfortable in a tank through winter until I can take a trip to Tennessee where he is from and find a suitable place to let him loose. Needless to say I did not want to invest a fortune and I found this light. The price is great and so is the light. I love how it clips to the top of his tank. Who knows, I may even wind up keeping the little bugger if I find a suitable tank to house him in permanently:)

My wife actually bought the light for our very old box tortoise. We don’t know exactly how old it is but we know it is over 40 years old because that is how long we have had it. We got it from my nephews who found it. We had been using any incandescent light, but those bulbs are getting hard to find. When this arrived, my wife said it was a lot smaller than she anticipated, which is the reason for the four stars instead of five, but it is possible that she did not read the complete description And therefore got a light that was smaller than she had hoped. At any rate, we know the turtle likes it because she sits under it whenever it is on. My only critique would be that I would read the dimensions of the light before you buy it . It is not very big, but it seems to work fine for our turtle.

This lamp is cheap. The clamp doesnt hold tight and the goose neck is weak.

Our little Squirtle is a relatively new addition to our home and I was becoming quite concerned because it was never basking under the light that we had originally. I did a little research and discovered that we needed the UVA/UVB lamp and this little guy has been basking all day! He absolutely loves it!!! Great little lamp that clips on easily and comes with three bulbs… Came quickly and I highly recommend!

I tried contacting customer service 3 times and they have never got back to me. The lamp and bulbs I received were very defective. First I got sent the wrong bulbs ( 2 25 watt, and 1 50 watt) which I was expecting 2 50 watt, and 1 25 watt. Also, whenever I turn the unit on, it has a really bad burning smell. Also I tested the UVB output with two different devices, and it did not pick up on any UVB at all. So not only is it falsely advertising, the product is faulty and the customer service is horrible. Please do not use this product on any animal requiring UVB because it does not output any UVB at all.

Bought this product for a midland painted turtle. My turtle piper was showing signs of shell rot, hardly noticeable, anyways I will update this comment to tell the progress of his condition.Edit: my turtle loves the basking light, and his shell is healthy again. I recommend this product. Be sure to keep the 50 wat light 12" to 14" in. away from the basking dock for that 90 to 95 degree range.
