So, whether you use VHDL or Vivado HLS, this book gives you layer by layer description and how your code and hardware can work together to maximize performance. I am at an elementary level in this platform with other microcontroller experience. This book is part of the tour of books to achieve the right stuff.

This book is the only one I have found to be accurate enough in explaining the ins and outs of the hardware-software codesign for Xilinx AP SoC. A bit outdated nowadays but super useful if you are working with ZyBo or ZedBoard FPGAs. A companion book for the tutorials is also available on Amazon.Paper quality is good and the book is in color.

Starts from first principles, and silicon geography - right up to packaging your design and productising it.

I wish I'd found this book earlier as It's a fascinating read covering everything someone moving from basic FPGAs to the Zynq would want to know. It fills a needed drought of good Xilinx reference materials.
