Worked well initially but has degraded after a few days. Loss of display port signal. Random screen blackouts. Tearing on the screen. Returning for a refund. Looking at ATEN instead. I know they are more expensive but I need a device that works reliably.

I used to have the good old switch box that no longer works with the latest technology. I had to upgrade to a new KVM switch and I shopped all over to find a good one. Specifically, I needed one that integrated a mac and pc and that used display ports versus HDMI. I must admit that the mess of wires that came with the unit scared me quite a bit when I first saw them but once you sort them out, everything makes sense. I did not use any of the mic or audio inputs because I have a cinema display and a DAC for my Mac. I did not cut those wires but I had to tuck them away. If I could recommend something to the company, it would be to make those wires removable. Other than that, I absolutely love the discreteness of this device. You can hide the box completely and use the little button to switch computers. It is really discrete and works like a charm. I especially love the fact that when I switch to the Mac, it automatically wakes up the computer. There is a little delay when switching back and forth but I never switch rapidly back and forth. I gather this is because the switch has to re-sync each time I switch (going from Mac to PC is probably like switching from Spanish to English).

Its a plug and play product, the only thing that worked in this product was the keyboard and mouse, the important thing did not, that was the display ports!. I had it connected to Nvidia Quadro M2000 and Nvidia Quadro K2200, both did not work!. The display ports on both of my graphics cards were functioning properly, I tested them with a simple display port to a VGA adapter, it worked, tested them with DP to DVI adapter, they worked! I also tested them with a cable that is a DP to HDMI, THEY WORKED! lol. I even reduced the resolution and tried different monitor refresh rates on different monitors! I failed to make this KVM Switch work!. I really tried. I am left with a product that is waiting to be picked up and sent back to amazon.

I was rather very disappointed by this. I work as Software Engineer, so I'm quite tech savvy. I have an LG 38 inch monitor with OSX with resolution slightly below 4k (38** by 160**). This switch: 1) It renders at full 4k (38** by 21**) making the image very squashed. Maybe 1) is fixable with some research, but: 2) It doesn't output on the USB-C. It takes 2 usbc as input and outputs on HDMI. This limits the refresh rate to only 30hz at 4k. Realistically, for actual office use, 30 Hz is not usable. The amazon description page doesn't mention this properly. It's written in small fine print on the back of the actual box that you receive thou. I think I failed to realized that output is HDMI rather than USB-C. But I feel this product advertises 4K support (4k stamps on the picture), but it's "unusable" 4k support which doesn't play well with monitors that are not exactly 4k. With that said, the product probably works as expected for regular Full HD. But it shouldn't advertise 4k support since it's not really usable. Or at the very least clearly point out that 4k is only supported at 30 Hz due to limitations of HDMi. Now I have to spent time returning this etc... sigh*,
