They work well. the tone arm may be a little stiff (it just works as a retainer, you don't have to use it at all, the coasters are secure on a spindle..I think it's just for funsies) BTW the labels on the records are all different

I loved the band names on all the coasters. The turntable holder is TOO cute! Do be aware it's a little hard to get the needle off - don't be too gentle - but this is good because you know your coasters won't slide out of the holder. Bought it as a gift and had to get another one for myself!
