Animal Friends of Pica Pau 2: Gather All 20 Original Amigurumi Characters

This is my 3rd book from Yan, I am a massive fan of her books!I have been making these little buddies for friends, family and charities, everyone going bananas over them. This new book will not be be any different!This book's designs are a little bit more elaborate than usual, but still the same lovely expressions.As always, the instructions are clear (US terminology) and there are plenty of pictures of the stitches and techniques needed for the toys.If you are a complete beginner to amigurumi, maybe try one of her previous two books first, but I can almost guarantee you will "need" this one at some point :D

I absolutely adore this book, I can’t stop looking through it, even though I have many wips (work in progress) on the go!!!There are detailed, colourful pics and it even taught me the X stitch as apposed to the V stitch (standard SC/DC) and I’ve been crocheting toys for many years!!Yan’s characters also appear to be stitched in 1ch-join rounds rather than a spiral which is also new to me too, and allows for perfectly stacked stitches- which, as shown in the book, looks so much more professionalShe even has her own yarn (very expensive unfortunately but hey, maybe one day)If you’ve read this far you might be interested to know I bought this book before the first one but its high on the list and I’ve promised myself I’ll make all of Yan’s patterns because the style and colours are absolutely gorgeous!!!The patterns start slightly easier but are definitely for experienced Amigurumists.. but why not challenge yourself? :DI made Darwin Turtle first (how on earth did I choose?) and I’ve ordered yarn for Sebastian LionA must-have for any crocheter!!

Amazing book. Highly recommended whether you are an experienced crocheter or new. Very well described techniques and photos to show specific skills. On each project there's also a quick index of where to find instructions for all techniques require for each project.Results are amazing with these super cute new friends.

The book arrives fast and it was a good price. The first one in the series was amazing and this one is even better!
