Tri-band, dual-core 1.8 Ghz, CPU, MU-MIMO, beam-forming, no dead spots
Purchased this TP-Link AC4000 renewed September, 2022, to upgrade from the Netgear R6230. The AC4000 had no discernable blemishes -- it literally looks brand new after the unboxing. The web GUI is easy to navigate with tabs for Quick Setup, Basic, and Advanced. I was able to replicate the overall setting from the previous router onto the TP-Link. All my the wireless devices connected to their respective Wi-Fi band without problems. The tri-band feature helps with load-balancing among wireless devices and connections are solid. Wired connections are stable. Just upgraded to 1 GB internet 5/20/2024 with my cable provider, and the AC4000 simply works.

This thing is great.
The best router I've had so far it has a great app that works well it allows you to do anything you could possibly want to do with your router you can set up the 2.4 gigahertz or 5G for whatever device you need or your device needs and you can also set it up on a pre one channel setting that will allow it to provide whatever the advice is capable of handling. Like my smartphone will run off the 5 GHz while some of my other devices such as a printer will not it needs the 2.4 GHz signal so instead of creating two lines that I have to choose from all the time I am putting it on the setting where it's just one line one password and the router will provide the proper Channel either the 2.4 or the 5.4 or whatever it may be.

Great unit, died within 13 months of purchase
I liked this router a lot, it got the job done for what I needed and had a decent set of features & functionality in the routers control panel. Unfortunately less than 13 months after purchase my router has stopped working. I wouldn't suggest purchasing this product if you're looking for something to last a long time.

Works great. Easy setup.
I bought this to replace a 10 year old Belkin router that was beginning to fail. It was the easiest router swap I have ever done. About 15 minutes and I was back on the internet. Had to introduce it to my various devices but they all went smoothly. Significant increase in speed and performance. I hope it lasts a good long time.

Doesn't feels like refurbished
The item is great, look brand new overall with a little smudge on top but no scratches nor dents. The smudge was very easy to remove, I think someone hold it and left a mark. The interface and set up was easy overall. However, if you try to connect it to dynamic IP during set up then remember to unplug the modem and plug it back again because I was frustrated for 20 min not understanding the notification of "connect to modem but not internet" because I didn't unplug my modem. Overall good product and feels like a steal.

Good router
Was pretty simple overall to set up, but you have to download the manuals from the website, none of that info is in the box. You need to install an app on your phone as well for setup, but it's simple. The range is better than I was needing, and is consistent with no issues. Great value deal hard to go wrong

The router works, yeah that is relative
You can turn it on, and set it up, but the range sucks, it can’t even outdo my old Archer AC1200. I use the old router as an access point for upstairs which works in the kitchen and living room the new router can barely cover the basement. This is not TP-Link’s best work.Addition: They claim it can support virtual servers. It only supports one virtual server. The rest fail.
