At this price point, the YMI Go set is very good. The board is very solid and the grid is etched to add a lovely tactile feel to games. I really appreciate that it has 19x19 on one side and 13x13 on the other. The felt carrying case is a nice touch to avoid damage when travelling. The bamboo bowls for holding the stones are a lot better than the usual plastic ones you get with this type of set and are a welcome bonus. The stones are the only slight downside as they are plastic and very lightweight. If you go for the double convex ones then they can wobble for a second or two after placing them on the board which doesn't feel very satisfying but again, at this price point, you cannot expect to be getting high quality stones. They do the job. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. I will be saving up to buy some Yunzi Go stones to replace the plastic (melamine) ones and then the set will be perfect.

A very nice Go Set. Nicely made with high quality board and stones. The board size is reasonably generous. Price compares well with other sets I've seen with similar quality.

Really good quality board, the containers for the stones have nice straps, board itself has protective fabric cover and bag for containers is a nice addition. The reverse side of the board has a 13x13 go board for faster/easier games. Would highly recommend!

From what I gather this is the low end or budget area for high quality Go boards. As someone that's not playing everyday and it's hard to get an opponent I love this. The craftsman ship for what you're getting blows me away and it feels like an occasion when you unpack it. Such attention to detail in everything. Massive recommend.

Really blown away by this board at this price point! BOARD: Great weight, the wood looks good and had no blemishes. There's a few grainy spots but for me that adds character and I like if. Etching is great, adds depth. This is a large board, so if you have something like a side table only to play games on you may need to channel the Go ancestors and play on the floor. BOWLS: Listen I am biased here- I love awesome little containers. Bowls are perfectly smooth, feel like artisan crafted and not factory made. Binders are nice but do take a little getting used to, I was terrified of spilling all my stones while trying to put them on at first lol. STONES: Stones are good and appropriate for the price point. No blemishes, I really enjoy the double convex. They don't have much weight to them, which I am not huge on (however, I'm not expecting the world for $100), but if you would like lighter stones these will be great for you. CARRYING CASES: I actually love these more than I thought I would! Great for taking your board on the GO *wink* so that you can find new friends to play with. They also are great storage to protect the product, and look great. Two notes: board is heavy, not prohibitively so, but don't think you'll be tucking it under your arm nice and easy. Other is the carrying case for the board is felt and my cat is very interested, so I'd keep out of reach of pets while storing. OVERALL: I truly feel this is the best value board for quality for someone starting out with Go. It's worth every penny. This makes for a great home board, and can travel well for game nights. I wouldn't bring it to the office or on a trip (unless your suitcase is huge) just due to the size and weight. I highly recommend this board and will purchase again if anything happens to mine!
